In my spares box are the following 123 dizzy items:
Cap: 1 235 522 050
Rotor: 1 234 332 088
Hope that helps in some way.

If your VW friend cannot help, take a look at Rock Auto and search by part number using the cap numbers you provided. That will return a list of matching parts from various cap makers. In that list of parts the "blue" hyperlink text will open a list of applicable cars using that part. I only mentioned the BMW 2002 because it was in the U.S. There were many other cars in the list, including some Audis. It may be worth your time to build a list of possible matching cars. FWIW, in my youth I owned a 2002 and I do not remember it having a rev limiting rotor... at least not my car.
However, I remember in previous threads that people said the 123 cap and rotor were unique to some European car that did not make it to the U.S. I was surprised the lists at Rock Auto included cars I was familiar with. How sure are you of the Bosch cap numbers you listed in your earlier post?

Thanks Doug. I know at least some of the factory BMW 2002 rotors were of the rpm limiting variety. I'm thinking that an aircooled beetle rotor may be the answer. I'll reach out to a friend that knows ACVWs and see what I can learn.

I have no first hand experience with the 123 distributor. However, visit Rock Auto and use their "part number" search with the Bosch numbers you found for the cap and rotor.
On their web site they recognize the 1 235 522 050 & 1 235 522 059 cap numbers. They show as fitting a lot of cars. If the list is accurate, one of the most common you'll find over here is a BMW 2002.
I did not find a match for the rotor number. However... maybe the BMW 2002 rotor would fit the 123 dizzy shaft.

I am wondering if anyone knows what year/make/model car the Bosch rotor part number 1 234 332 024 and cap originally came on. Knowing that will make it easier to obtain replacements.
Same question for the cap. Bosch part numbers: 1 235 522 050 / 1 235 522 058 / 1 235 522 059 / 1 235 522 145.
Thanks,
T.J.
