My email address is in my profile as well. I plan to repower a MK 2 soon and you may just have the key. May be moving some engines up and down the east coast soon. Let me know. Steve (CTR)

Hi Jack

Not many Minis in our part of South Carolina-I am about 40 miles from you, send me an email, it is in my profile.  Thanks,  Eric

Do some research using the engine number and or casting numbers and find out exactly what you have before you price it.

No contact info in your profile. I recently paid the most for a complete core unit I have yet spent. At the time I had two people asking for a engine build. Feeling I needed a core I bought it. Other factors time looking for a core as well as core cost killed both possible jobs. I'd like more info about what you have but we should take it off board via email. Steve (CTR)

"ballpark figure for such an engine that would need rebuilding"

This is a core, so would be needing a bore.....gearbox is a bonus

Noting that there are several different spec "1275GT" motors... I still think anything in the hundreds is a huge bargain for a complete 1275 core...  Is there a gearbox attached??

Cheers, Ian

I have seen them as low as $500 and as high as $1200. If it is an original 1275 GT motor and has original bores to the right person every bit of $1200 especially if you are prepared to ship overseas.
