It looks like no one is crazy about this car. May be heading up Zip's way, Ohio with an empty trailer soon. Could drop this thing off for gas money. Steve (CTR)

Edit: Got to get away from this one. I want to play with it to much. It's raining today.

Most of them never had roofs that i remember Steve. I would do the minimum to it and sell it on the way it is if i was the seller.

I have not put a ruler on it but believe it's std screen. The ones I have seen chopped look corect. Having the top bows and new top it will stay as is. No one interested in pricing options? Wonder if a MK1 type front end would improve the nose maybe get rid of all those lights? Steve (CTR)

Most i have seen have had the windscreen shortened and when done correctly it looks correct for the car and works well.

Been walking around this thing all week. I can hear it talking to me. Roll bar shop for a little bracing. Suspension and brakes proper Sport Pac wheels. New interior and 1300 power. I can't quite see me painting another car red but I think I hear arrest me RED. It is a stab at a two seat sports car on a mini base. Steve (CTR)

Edit: this is a good example of what we talked about last week. The questions?

What is the car worth as is?

Does being a special help or hurt value?

LHD/RHD add or take away?

How much would a Color change paint job cost vs add value?

How much does a nice interior add to value?

What value metal warping sound system?

If doing paint would this be a good home for a complete Zemax body kit?

How much does 1300 power increase over std 998?

Owner claims $12,000. all in this car. Willing to walk away for $8500. In true mini lover form , getting a tax refund first time in life. Wants to know if $2000. will bring sale price up enough to be worth while? Where do you spend it and will it do anything. Thinking of taking the $2000. put in bank and when the car sells put it back with the money and yes it worked. I have four engines to assemble makes for a large parts pile and time to look around and think. Steve (CTR)

I have a few people lined up to take a look. It has some kind of aftermarket recliners and a ton of sound equip. The roll bars are tied to some 2 inch sq. tube  and steel plate running along the inner sills. If it don't sell I will pull the interior and see how it was done. The Rear cover comes off and it looks like thr rear storage on either side of the rear seat have been cut out. The roof/ hood is new and a very high quality material with clear isonglass. I think with a little more bracing it would be a fun auto cross car. Steve (CTR)

I have picked up a 1980 Cabro done with a Bantam kit. I have been looking though old mags but yet to see any info on this kit. PO thinks it was installed in Sweden as the car is LHD. Other than having the roof removed it's on 13s with sport pac flares and has a fibreglass cover with built in head rests over the rear seat area and two small roll over bars behind the seats. Without the hood installed it is a neat little speedster a little funky looking. I'm sure some one will tell me to goggle it. Steve (CTR)
