I'll be using one of them and the roll bar in my Mini. Sounded like he may have another one?

If it's gonna get cut to a trailer, I'd be interested in the rh tanks.

Just need to get the shipping set up. I apologize to all who don't want to see it get cut up, but this will save me a ton. I'll post up pics as I work on it and of the finished trailer. Thanks again Andy!

Hi GenLightning,

Sounds good to me. I'd love to see it stay at least in the state!  My cell is three eight nine two zero nine six.

I have another right hand tank in my shed. I should probably pull that one out and chuck it in there with it.  Starting to look like Spank Jr again.  I'm very thankful I have a tolerant wife.  Still made me super sad to cut up the MK2 S though.  It was even almond green to replace the almond green 1071 S I sold years ago!

Andy,

Very top notch gesture.  It reminds me a lot of my previous holey (not holy) Mini...ie: "Barney the floorless wonder Mini".

Hopefully some welder type dude in the Islands takes you up on the offer.  Looks too nice to cut up. (yeah, I know it's a rust bucket, but still.....they ain't makin' them anymore)

It's not in the best shape, but it's still salvagable. Again, I'm giving this shell away free to anyone who wants to come grab it from me on O'ahu in Hawaii.

If you want to see any specific photos just ask and I'll take 'em.

Spank, the area around the boot opening isn't the hottest.  Down low at the valance panel it's all rusted - the rest of it looks ok though, as long as you ignore the boot floor.

You mean over by Andy's drive-in?  Those are long gone.  A few BMW 2002s if I recall correctly. (Andy's is long gone too...now an O'Riley auto parts)

Thanks for offering this up for someone to take on. You da man!

That said, if you do end up cutting it up, (sniff) I could use some panel sections-- particularly the rear panel with the tail light and trunk lid opening or, if you can, get the rear window, too.

I'd much rather see it go to someone who wants to try to use the whole thing locally. But, again, if it goes to the sawzall, keep me in mind.

I've got what appears to be a MK1 S shell with no paperwork that is sitting outside, and I don't want to see it rust into a pile.  You gotta be good with the welding gods though to take this one on.  Most of the bottom of the car is going to need to be cut out and replaced.  It has no nose - looks like it had a clip-on front at one point.

I'm going to give this away to the first person who says they can (and does) show up with a trailer to haul it off. It's either this or I get to sawzall my 2nd S this year, the first being a MK2 S that I pulled out from under a tree. :(

I'll take some pictures this evening when I get home.
