Im Dennis Santarinala. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Moved to the USA in 2001. Im 39 and now live in San Diego, California.

Im an Army (cook) and Navy (helicopter mechanic) Veteran. Im currerntly a commercial photographer and web and graphics designer (Google my name I photographed a lot of hot models (female) lol). Got my first mini from a police officer then my second mini from another police officer and the third from a police officer again Restomod (not original red) 1963 Austin Cooper with black California plate. Its a nice daily alternate to my big truck.

I like old stuff. My mini inspired me to be a designer and a photographer. And because of this I placed Silver at the 2015 American Advertising Awards for San Diego, CA. Im not a pro at maintaining my little car but I learned a lot from here and from bugging members. Someday I know I will be great at this and so it will be my turn to pass on knowledge to the next new guy...

To keep the beautiful classic minis on the road and not just in photographs.

Mini is currently off the road... just pulled the engine last weekend, and will pull the front sub for a refresh of both front and rear subframes and suspension... just a matter of time!

Aaron Bokros, Port Jefferson, NY 11777.

No minis as of yet, still working on it! Grew up in Atlanta, in the back of a 65 Cooper998 and an Austin Countryman. Dad worked on British cars for years and worked with a mechanic who raced Minis and Datsuns. Spent most weekends in the infield at Road Atlanta or speeding up the mountain roads of north Georgia and North Carolina. Been trying to reclaim that part of my childhood ever since! 35 y/o, working for a small fashion and watch logistics company. My dream is to bomb around the east end of Long Island in a woody.

Dana - San Diego California

Growing up my dad a "Sunday" car - 1958 Austin Healey Sprite (a BugEye), I wanted that car bad. He had a friend that raced them on Long Island and my dad would help build the engines for him. I asked and asked and asked and he said "It's too small and too dangerous". I returned from college one summer and it was gone, he sold it with the two extra rolling shells, fiberglass hood, and all extra mechanical things he had hoarded to someone on Long Island NY for $1500. I'm still upset over this.

While I loved the Bugeye I've had a love for the classic Mini for as long as I can remember, I tried to buy one after Dad sold the Bugeye but he put his foot down.

Last August at 33, I bought my own '74 Mini 1000. I'm rebuilding it myself. My dad is in NY and I'm in CA, he told me he wished he was closer to help me out.

When not being an amature grease monkey I develope curriculum and teach classes for a company that teaches kids about Engineering using Lego to learn concepts and explore how things work.

my name is Tony Pineda 40plus-ish,has a double major in psychology, worked as a Guidance councilor for 4 years but resigned, now working on some medical equipment manufacturing co.,  i'm from Killeen TX. 76540. most of you have seen me and my naked body(with my nipples showing) sorry i was not the one who posted it. aaanyway, My first mini is a 1977 Leyland Mini so Special. bought couple of months ago. heavily beat up,i learnt about minis the hard way, especially the mechanical aspect. Once upon a time,my mini stalled on me, this forum really helped me a lot, some are nice, some are.. nevermind, but most are nice. this is where i experienced bending back or staightening a bent carb needle, this is also where i learnt that synthetic oil is more slippery than the regular conventional oil.(the member who said it might have spilT a syntheitc oil on the floor, stepped on it and he stumbled, that's how he discovered that synthetic oil is slippery, gosh cc) aaanyway,to continue, i'm a hobbyist, i want to make something out of nothing, if i have missing parts on my mini, i'd look for some things in my backyard first before i buy. i'm a very practical person.

i got banned 4x in this forum, i almost want to quit and sell my mini but one night,God appeared in my dreams no lie, and said to me, "Son,go back to MM and re-register, your mission is not over yet"(exact wordings)... that brought me back here.

anyway, that's my history, but whatever experience i had with my mini and with other members here, good or bad, i will always be a true blue Classic mini lover.

a certified Moke and masking tape mini estate hater, lol

ps: Might soon move to Brampton,Ontario if job-godess turn things to my favor.
