So why are you here?

certainly not to listen to advice.

not to learn anything.

not to provide any correct, useful information.

not to be a respectable member of a community.

not to have a bloody clue about anything you post here.

some peoples' kids.

working now on the trans. Posted another question on it last night. One problem found (but no problems in the valves), and questioning the seal in the low pressure valve.

Yes, very hard to find tail light lenses. My son got those NOS lenses for me in San Diego. What are you asking for yours, and are they new?

Richard....did you get that oil flow issue sorted?

You should pic up a spare set of those hard to find tail lights...just in case.  I happen to have a pair in the for sale section

My ideal is a sleeper Mk1. Doesn't have to be a Cooper S. Everything visible from the outside and through the windows will be period correct mk1 parts and elements but underneath the hood would be a D series honda powerplant. Modern suspension systems and brakes to match the power. Reinforced structure to have a more sturdy body I guess but I don't want those to be visible As well. i know the wheels gotta be wide but I really prefer the car without arches. Something about that look about the mk1 that separates it from the rest of the classic minis.

I'll consider doing a trade with my clean 63 Austin Cooper for a decent later year vtec mini.
