Everyone said most get sold off because theyre unhappy with the outcome or funds to finish it.

The outcome though,i cant find a negative thing about it.I can understand special models ,but everyone claimed for them to be harsh beasts to drive.I can cruise this car alllllll day down any road or highway and love it.As i stated before i was scared with the 998,not enough for NJ and Philly driving lol

I think the views of the purists are a bit exaggerated. Usually, the objections come when:

1) Someone wants to convert a Mini that has some significant historical value or is relatively rare and interesting (like a genuine 60's Cooper, a 59, heck, 621 AOK for that matter.)

2) Said converter wants to do the conversion because they think it will make the car more reliable or make it as refined as a modern Civic (especially newcomers to the Mini world who have no experience with the originals.)

If some Mini veteran came here and said they wanted to convert a 1990 Mini (or a Clubman Smile  to VTEC power, I doubt anyone here would bat an eye.

Man this is a good deal..

Somebody has to buy this at this price. And will be a thousand times happier with their car at a fraction of the price. This along with a B series Ls motor even ,theyre great cheap engines, ebay radiator, ebay mounts..man this is tempting,if only these ca rs were easier to come by id build another lol

Have posted an ad for a VTEC MTB frame in Parts for Sale, and I'm noting it here because I will be bringing it to MME 2015 next week and it will be available there.

It is from the estate of NJ Boone who posted here for many years as "NJ". Further details are in the ad here: //www.minimania.com/cars4sale/12998/VTEC_MTB_Frame_and_Shifter_Mini

Thanks for looking.
