73 cars, 40 trophies, I'm sure someone can splain dis ting. Kinda diluting
the worth of the awards, or maybe like kids sports, where everyone is a wiener!!

The peace sign has pride of place on the lounge room wall and Trev the Trophy (1st furthest travelled award ) has retired to a nice quite corner for the winter.

Maybe the size of the event is based on the amount of trophies given out. We gave two, one gets returned each event and the other (4' round peace sign) went all the way to a wonderful home in Australia. They gave away probably 40 +/-, so we have a long way to go to be a big event.

Mini 56 had 72 classic minis, not bad for a small event huh?

Wow, 25 makes us already half of the BIG national event, but only 1/3 of our unofficial "event". Plans for the Mini 57 are coming together. While our Mini 56 was unbeatable (If you like to drive your Mini), we're going to try. I know everybody wants to start planning ASAP for October 2016, so I will announce it ASAP.

Ron, I don't think that will happen until CMU establishes itself as a real club. We only have about 1,300 members in 37 countries, about 1,100 of them in the US. So, we are obviously much smaller than exisiting US clubs. Hopefully we can grow! Classic Mini attendence at our events is also not in line with the real national events, we're almost twice the size as MME, so we're obviously doing something wrong. But until we are considered part of the Mini community, we'll continue to host the most amazing events in North America, that is if you like to drive your Mini. The Mini 56.5 will be laid back and FREE! Plans for the Mini 57 are in the works with some fun ideas (another themed event) and the continuation of the International Mini Film Festival (go to classicminis.org for details).

Some Florida CMU members thought that a year and a half was way to long for the next CMU event (Mini 57 October 2016). So they did something about it, they put together the Mini 56.5!
Mini 56.5
October 1-4, 2015
Palatka, Florida
Located along a beautiful river between the forest and St. Augustine, this is a great place for some relaxed drives! Registration is free and if you register on time you'll have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate! Go to the Classic Minis United website, www.classicminis.org for more information! If you're not a member yet, it's free to join the over 1,100 US members!
See ya in a few months!
