Lifan company is notorious in immitating things, just about anything..from toothpick to airplanes..

lifan is also famous in the scooter world, they have immitated bunch of nice japanese scooters, and i have blasted them over and over again on my scooter forums. people who patronize these products has no regards to QUALITY

if i remember it right, me and mightymouse were a member of same scooter forum because he owned a 1988 Puch Moped when he was in highschool and i own a Honda Dio1.

Never been a member of a scooter forum. I did ride a 1988 Puch in High School, but you got that info from this forum post:

It's kind of sad watching you continually try to pull me into your delusions. And a bit weird that you would dig back to a post from 4 years ago just to try and start something. I honestly hope you get help... or find a friend that you can confide in. You need a real person in your life to talk through some of the issues you have. This internet thing you have going isn't healthy.

The real question in my mind is " how much?"

Maybe if the cost (new) were about half the price of the BMW MINI, and build quality more or less comparable, then the result might really be an economy "New Mini" or "Chini". Think about it: if China could produce a low-priced economy car that is reliable (enough), seats 4, gets decent fuel economy, then it would be closer to Mini than the BMW products. Once the aftermarket tuners, parts suppliers etc. got into the act, it could be "Deja vue all over again!"

.

"Hang on a minute lads....I've got a great idea."

I wonder when the whole copycat thing will be over in their culture, or maybe it really is the way they're wired.
