btw zip, my purple mini is in very good running condition right now, as always!

You are such a wanker.

Your Mini is pink not purple and to put my Mini and "very good running condition" for your car in one sentence with the back street repairs you have done is total bull$hit.

The Harley tach you have more than likely came off a 2 cylinder Bike so the 2k revs you are reading are totally off, probably more like 4k on that old 998 engine you have.

I haven't laughed so hard in ages.

Wait - Wanker Tony's got a 1.75 Final Drive?  Wow, that must be some rare flea market part - funny he couldn't figure out how to remove the clutch, let alone buy the special puller, so I'll bet he bought a can of special FD modifyer at the flea market - you know, the stuff that you add to your oil to make it slippery and gaskets puffy, but it also changes the FD so that your engine doesn't work as hard.

Wow.

I'll bet they only fitted that to very special pink mini specials.

It was a "SPECIAL" option John only fitted to pink Mini specials. Next thing he will have a Harley radiator from an air cooled Harley in his Mini to help with the Yuma Arizona temperatures.

Boison/wanker (todays name) you have to be making this stuff up nobody can be that thick in the head to come up with the stuff you contaminate this board with.

Todd  (air2air) is that your rabbit picture he is using in his avatar, or is Boison/wanker really air2air hmmmmm ?

I've never been to Yuma, but I guess it must be very flat. Hills would be a problem with a 1.75 final drive ratio. Accelleration is probably glacial too.

Also, how dare you imply that you're a valid member of this brotherhood.  You're not part of this 'family', nor our community - you gave up your 'membership' when you decided to be a douchebag and pissed everybody off that tried to help you.  If you really wanted to bleed for a cause, how 'bout the lady who had her mint MK2 mini stolen - the mini that she bought new and was her only daily driver.  Nah, not 'public enough' for you to try to change how people percieve you.  You're pathetic...

What, exactly, we're you trying to accomplish by posting this "plea for help" on this particular message bored?

This is a mostly North American based forum. The incident happened in England. Most of the English based posters come here for entertainment value than anything else. The unfortunate event has been widely circulated on the GB based forums.

Were you expecting someone to come on here and say, "Oh yeah, I happened to be on vacation over there and noticed some hoodlums setting fire to a Mini..... Even copied down the registration number from their Vauxhall Astra.... Didn't think to notify the authorities over there as I figured they were just making S'mores...."

I suppose that you did put out a public service message...."Be careful, there's bad people out there...."

Edit: BTW, bleach does nothing to remove fingerprints. Isopropyl Alcohol although not foolproof would be a better choice. Perhaps the hoodlums were trying to remove blood stains.... the mystery deepens. [rolleyes]

sir willie,

still looking for the culprit, im kinda confused because apparently they found a bottle of bleach across the street but bleach or chlorox is not flamable.   wth !  its a bizarre case of arson.

i suspect they used the bleach to wash their finger prints left in the car.

ill report back to you sir willie as soon as i get loads of facts about it.

Warning:  this is serious, "egg-ers"(i really like this word) pls spare this thread in respect for the victim.

 Owner: Jack Maden from Minivation

These pictures are taken in high crompton, Oldham. I returned home around 3.30AM this morning to the car I've been refurbishing with my dad for 2 years, love and passion went into it from start to finish. I had it on the road for 3 weeks and that's all it survived, police believe it to be arson. Please share this around as much as possible, tag friends or anything to try and help catch the people who did this. We've found an empty bottle of bleach across the road in a public bin which looks brand new.

IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING CONTACT ME

PLEASE SHARE!!!
