Hi guys,
in my attempt to counter the flat spot in the acceleration caused by having a K&N cone filter, I’m trying to put together a longer intake pipe. possibly by attaching the pipe to a stub stack.
Now my question is, what are these 2 inner holes on the intake side of the HS4 carb? Will it be alright if I seal up these 2 holes?

Have you tried a slightly heavier oil in the suction chamber?

I see. Thank you guys for the replies. I'll have to think of other ways to mount the intake pipe.
I wanted to do something like these examples.

I bought an ex hill climb car and it had those two holes plugged (with sealant) and it ran but was slow to come down from the revs which is probably the way the PO wanted it.
