ya I did try them, none came with the sliders. The mk2's are European, but don't have the weird ford sliders, instead using more conventional slider pins.

So you dont think this will come with sliders?
Other websites = parts geek also say about the same -
With Caliper- with Bracket With Mouting hardware,
//www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1978/ford/fiesta/brake/brake_caliper.html
none of the aftermarket including Cardone include the sliders, they are non serviceable parts and are not even stocked by Ford. This is good info for anyone looking to do this conversion in North America where mk1 fiesta cannot be found in wrecking yards.
I have 10" wheels, and am looking to keep them, if I had larger wheels brakes would be much easier to source

What size wheels do you plan to run? I have 8.4 calipers as well as 7.5s. I also have some disc, brake hubs and a few drive flanges. I did the work a few years back to adapt Wilwood calipers to drum brake hubs using 8.4 flanges and cut down disc. Could not get them in all 10 inch wheels. I completed the first set installed on customer car and he has run them the last 10 years. I have put 4 piston Wilwoods in 13 inch wheels with 11 inch disc. It's just so easy to pull OE parts off the shelf rebuild or use new. Simple safe and easy. Good luck. Steve

there are "caliper sliders" that go in between the caliper and the mounting bracket. see the brown rectangular pieces
It has not been hard to get the calipers, nor any of the other parts/labour involved in the swap. It is the missing sliders that have been the issue. Despite having those pieces in the picture they do not actualy come with the caliper.
Believe me when I say I have exhausted every option trying to get these (ordered 3 seperate sets of calipers from different sources, contacted the caliper manufacturer directly, looked through old parts catalogues at the ford dealer, gone to specialty antique brake companys, even had a quote from a machinist to make a one of set *200$!!!*)
Im now looking for an alternative option, unless someone here by some stroke of luck has a set of the slider lying around.

I decided to convert my front drums to disks with the Fiesta caliper conversion. I have done everything involved in that (uprights, cv's machining rotors, mg metro hubs etc) but after exhausting all parts stores I am unable to located the caliper slider shims, and therefor am stuck without brakes.
My question is, with my current setup, is there anyway to fit an OEM caliper from a 8.4 disk car, or a Cooper S or the like to my upright. I am ok building a mounting bracket, or doing some light machining, I just need something that will fit. I looked into Willwood and AP racing 2 pistons and nothing is looking like it will fit.
I don't want to have to undo all the work/money I have into my setup, and having already been through 3 sets of fiesta calipers I have given up on those working.
