And all that crap about him (Tony) not being able to do the trip he dreams (OK maybe it is a dream) about doing..... go see the "Baked Potato" the thread about Jennifer and a $1200 Mini finsihing the Mongol Rally. Her two male team mates bailed in her but she finished.

I have to agree with Jamal on this. You guys (Jeg, Jimalbata, SXSman etc.) got out of line. Willy is....well...  willy (he does sign with "bad boy") and Boison was playing along with him - his mistake. There was no need for you guys to go ape-sh!t all over the thread.

And there was no need to attack Jamal either. If you bothered to check, Tony started this thread with a legitimate question - AFTER he took some advice in another thread (from me as it happens) to post the question as a separate topic because it was worth discussing AND others had knowledge and experience in applying a tow-bar to a Mini and woudl give him good, solid advice. which Tony followed.

You guys disappointed me. Nevermind growing a pair or a vagina. Just grow up. Get over it.

now let's look at the paper trail of this thread: i will do an outline, and you guys judge.

sequence of events:

1) Boison started a thread /sharing his plan to the forum about doing a cross country trip with his spectacular mini doing mostly 45mph. Boison's purpose for starting this thread is to inquire about the towbar and if anyone has done it maybe can chime in.

2)Zippy chimed in with a very decent reply, and i really learn from it. thanks sir zip

3)then Sir Malco(l)m chimed in, again another informative reply, and i thank him for that, i really wanted to build a good relationship with these people because their willingness to help is sincere, i can tell.

i followed sir mals advice in fact i went straight to the Tractor warehouse to get a Grade 8 bolt and nut, which i posted a picture in here.

this is the part where the topic got derailed:

4) Sir Willie, chimed in and slapped me with numerous questions, and belittled mine and my mini's capacity to do the 20,000 mile trip, even asked for my gf's picture. and bragged about doing a 1995 mile trip from Washington state to michigan, with 4 different brand name tires, and apparently he survived. He must have been using Avon tires.

5) so even if i felt that i was belittled, i still tried to be nice and friendly to him, in fact i started my reply with a "LOL", and admitted that im chickening out that's why i need the towbar, he even belittled the Iron Butt award which in the two wheel world, it's a real test of endurance, who among you rides a motorcycle? you know what im saying./ but i know that people laugh at things they know nothing about, that's common and understandable.

6)sir willie's desire to see my GF's picture to me is inappropriate, so i jokingly posted a young blonde lady whom EVERYONE knows as Nikki Leigh., if someone posted a famous sexy celebrity girl and say she is his gf, isn't it that's meant to be a joke????? tell me

here's the bizzare part:

7) Jeg chimed in, right a way with a temper, calling me f**tard, and that i am ftarding and posting fabrications, and lie about girlfriends, and to think, me and sir willy are the ones talking and exchanging jokes, jeg jumped out from nowhere and started slinging mud at me, i saw it even before jemal reacted but i just ignored jeg's comment. (jeg's reaction is too much). there's only one reason probably why jeg reacted that way, he probably do not know who NIKKI LEIGH is, that she was a top model,if i say she was my gf, obviously i am joking. gosh!,,,,,,,,,, again, i was trying to build a good rapor with him, mal, zip dan, on the other thread and i was so damn serious about it. but in fairness to jeg,mal and zip they really tried their best to help me in anyway they can., and i thank them for that.  and also, i want to thank, Thorty for the nice words, and Socalminifan(another asian) for giving me lead to the owner of the said towbar in the picture, i will email you one of these days.

in addition,i like how Dan replies because he doesn't judge me, he always stick to the topic.

8)jemal saw that i was sincere in my posts, and that i am a constant recipient of jeg's malicious name calling.

thank you Sir Jemal..

9) now, 3 of the members are even putting jemal in a bad situation,,,,, very inappropriate., i can take low blows but i cannot take when a sincere friend is being attacked.

10) some constantly complains about me giving advices about using Lucas Oil stabilizer and seafoam, well what can i do, i am just imparting my experiences about these so called "snake oil" , and my experience is positive., no harm in trying., some people really burns when they hear the word Lucas oil stabilizer. jeeez!

and to Saor Alba guy, go ahead leave the MM forum and go to another forum, I will follow you,,,lol,, and how'd you know i was born in the year of the Leopard??? LOL

11) again, as i've said, i 'm starting to build a good rapor with people here, the reason behind is that SOON i am planning to come out in the open(no im not gay), i mean, i want to tell everyone who i really am, and of course like everyone else i wanted to show everyone my mini, which i have been working on.,,,,i just got tired of hiding i guess.

HERE' s some pictures of my tow hitch bracketry updated

I don't know where you are getting your information but let's put this to rest once and for all.

Mini's came in several different engine sizes from the factory these were 848cc, 997cc, 998cc, 1071cc, 1098cc, and 1275cc (if i missed any feel free to correct me). They never made a 1.3 or 1300 that is just a designation the factory gave to Rover Mini's they are just regular 1275's. Now you can re bore any Mini engine out to all kinds of different configurations and cc's all the way up to 1400cc depending on the block you start with.

Jemal i don't see the progress that you (and others) see in Boison although he has stopped pitching snake oil lately and is asking decent questions rather than going down his own road to destruction. With regards to his humour you must know something we all don't as i don't see that either. As for calling names i have called him a wanker when he posted absolute crap that was completely missleading to any newbie that read it, that is where a moderator would be handy (someone offered to do this for you) but we all know now that isn't going to happen. If he has a legitimate post i recently have tried to answer and advise him especially when he is thinking of making a trip of the distance he is talking about and it being a family vacation in a non road trip prepared Mini, maybe you know more maybe he is just winding us up and there is no vacation. It truly amazes me how much crap can come out over several days along with lies about the pink wonder and then he posts on the MMW thread like a normal human being today !!!! He has been offered several free parts from people willing to help a  carb, dizzy, wires, oil cooler but always screws the deal up all because he wants anoyminity, for a person that needs these parts so bad it really does not make sense. I am not even going to recollect all his personal insults which you or anyone else at MM did nothing about, maybe you should read a little deeper and see why Jeg/John and others have insulted him back. So you think it is ok for him to post crap for newbies to read and be missinformed and when he is called out on it by several posters you think that is a problem as new owners may see us with axes to grind, if the forum was moderated like any normal one his post would be deleted and we wouldn't have to "grind our axes". Just for the record i have never called you or anyone at MM and whined about Boison or anyone for that matter as i figured a long time ago it would be a waste of my time, kind of like what i am doing now.

Yeah, what he said...  It's funny, isn't it Malcom how I can go back to April 2000 on this board and lotsa folks would tell you that I'm a great guy.  I can't recall having problems with this community until the mouth-breather troll showed up.

AND - even though I think Tony's an absolute f*cktard, I still helped him this past week with his ignition questions, not to mention providing theory, specifications and information that even you, Dan and others found interesting.  No insults, no BS, just straight assistance - and then he starts the stupidity again - the incessant circle-jerk repeated questions while expecting regurgitated answers spoon-fed once again instead of reading what was posted earlier in the thread.  It's the same stupid crap - begging for an HIF38 and then asking if it'll fit.  Begging for an oil cooler, begging for an electronic igniton or dizzy, and wondering if he'll be able to use them.  Too stupid to read his Haynes, too lazy to read his own threads.  But has all the time in the world for being an arsehole.

So yeah, I posted the link to the scooter advertisement once again, and 'called custard' once again.

I think it's hillarious that MiniMania can allow this retread to taint the community and ultimately drive customers away.  Yeah, maybe I should be one who gets banned...

Willie, I'd edit that before you loose street cred.

Jemal, seems we all have better things to do then worry about 1 troll.

Sure wish you'd put back on your big boy moderator pants and ban his insulting, argumentative, lying punk ass once and for all. You're about the only one that fines humor in his antics. Grow a pair for the common good. I can show receipts from the 80's on my purchases from MM, can or will you confirm even a small purchase from the resident troll, say a key fob .

You and Don and Dennis say you support the mini communities, sure wish you'd show it.

Spoke my mind, your going to do whatever you deem appropriate .

I know exactly who's Mini that is. E-mail me privately (info in my profile).

That towing set up is sturdy and really sweet. The owner would probably be willing to share how he did it but I'd like to ask him before forwarding along his info.

Can a Leopard change its spots, or an Etheopian his colour?  Sorry Jemal, this guy, whether he calls himself Rooster, Poison or Uncle Tom Cobbley is a total A##hole and we are all waiting for his next stupid exploits. REALLY look at his Threads and Contributions...absolute drivel that a 3 year old with no Mini experience could post. Will he change?  igs will fly first. Wonder how the Scooter Forum managed to get rid of him?  Or does he still visit them as well just to wind them up?  I've been a member on here for around 8 or 9 years, but if this numbskull keeps on with his Crap I'll be doing what a few others have done, and go elsewhere. Some of you people must miss the old Robster personality!  Jeg, I would hope you had better things to do than continue to bait Rob as you do. Why can't you just go forward?  I'm telling you right now, I will absolutely ignore any whining and tattle-tailing emails I get when some of you revert to your 4th grade personalities!  I and many others enjoy Rob's progress and his posts.  His humor took some getting used to, but now you're just making yourself look bad!  It seems to me some of you use a lot more foul language and vulgarity than Rob ever did, and a lot more name-calling.  Do you think your 'truth meter' applies to everyone? Who cares if it's 20,000 miles, 2000 miles, or whatever?  I don't think I've done 200 miles in a mini in a day since I was 10 and that was the family car!  So What?

Try to think about how your posts look to a new reader. Anyone not privy to the hen-pecking of the last year or so would have the view that some of you really have an axe to grind!

Sir Mal, when you're doing a cross country trip, you should not rush, 45mph is just enough to enjoy the sceneries, it's the smiles per hour remember? may need to bring a tent and camp somewhere safe to kill time and rest, it may take longer, but hech idc, however long it takes, i work in my own company. time is in my hands. I guess all this has happend since your 2007 scooter ad/picture as it did not look your body was a temple of God or you were taking good care of it for that matter.

For a guy who won't install a fan correctly or sort out a decent set of plug wires  and runs on snake oil to expect his Mini to do any kind of road trip nevermind the distances you are talking about is ludicrous.

but, to be honest, what could be the reason for my car to leave me stranded on the side of the road?

i can replace the points, condenser, float valve, plugs, wires, maybe halfway if the valve needs to be adjusted ,i can do that too, wheel bearings is not likely to go kaput.,  i can change the drive belt too, radiator hose, carb cables, master cylinder seals, slave valve seals, front brakes?? nah, i can use hand brake if needed.....the only real issue is when the pistons decided to fry or loose it's compression, that'll be the end of the journey, that's when the towbar gets in the picture.

Perez Hilton

20,000 miles with your car by your own admission being comfortable running at 45 mph will take you a lot longer than 3 weeks to complete, even 10,000 miles will take longer than 3 weeks. For example say 10 hours a day driving an average 45 mph = 450 miles per day it would take 44 days +, that is providing you have no breakdowns which we all know will happen.

How is the wife/girfriend (you have referred to her both ways) going to stand driving the SUV at 45 mph all day behind you ?

This trip is doomed from the start Boison. I would re think this if i were you and have a decent vacation instead of a major catastrophe.
