Hey all,
I'm looking to increase hp for my 2005 base model. I have an exhaust package on the way but what other upgrades can be done to increase power?
Thanks
Hi Jarrad,
The 'common' upgrade path for the 2005 Cooper is typically a cold air intake and exhaust. You might also consider the Sprint Booster.
Beyond that, you can add an ECU upgrade, and maybe a cam and head.
Extracting more hp out of the Cooper can get expensive and after all is done, you still won't be quicker than a Cooper S... Quite frankly, it would be more cost effective to 'trade up' to an S.
However, the mods listed above will add some 'pep' to your Cooper and increase the fun-to-drive factor.
