You really should start a thread at restorationmini.com. We'd all be interested in that.

Mostly sleeper, other than a small functional scoop towards the back of the flip front. Need more air getting in there to cool the turbo

'A good cleaning and a few coats of it will do quite a bit for the longevity of your parts.

That will take some explaining to my wife....Tongue Out

i like using the rattle primer because the primer is premixed and very well proportioned with the catalyst and its ready to use, i just mixed the can for 30 minutes (while watching TV) to ensure that the content is well mixed to attain the maximum bond to the surface being painted.

once i bought primer at a paint shop, it comes with catalyst and thinner thingy, i did the mixing myself, i dunno what happend but i think i put more (or) less catalyst in it, so when it dried up, they all cracked and chipped off shet!! grrrr!  see pics!

Jeg's rattle can paint job is a good one. No doubt about that. And it can be done well.

This is the level of detail on my paint job.

Gtbuzz, do you plan on a color change , what direction are you going? Sleeper, hot street, full race ? Big fan of sleeper here.

He's stirring the pot, soon he'll be posting a picture of my old mini commenting about jack stands. Any one with half a brain sees him for the lying manipulative troll that he is. Thanks for the link, ill check it out. Maybe I'll post some pics once I start work on mine also. Funny, JEG claims to have rattle canned his car, looks pretty good from his pictures. Talented people can do more with less with great results.

And no poison, you're not on the list.

Please excuse me, I've had my morning coffee now I need my morning boison.

That's my car, and it's not a rattle can spraypaint job. In fact, my paint job alone likely cost more than your entire car, Boison. Heck... just the cost of the paint alone was probably more than what you purchased your car for. If you would like to follow my build thread, you can do so at RestorationMini.com

The can you have circled was used to paint my subframes and it's epoxy paint. A good cleaning and a few coats of it will do quite a bit for the longevity of your parts.

After 9+ years of mucking around finally have the Mini in for a nip, tuck and paint. Hope to have it back in couple of months to put it back together.
