Hi all.... I've been away for about a week, but we did indeed add the individual color coded bows. This link takes you to the RED ends bow, but all the others are shown in the description:

I have access to a pretty nice 3D printer. Maybe I'll try to get myself one made up.

Our local small town public library offers a free 3-D printing class.  The lack of availability of the little ends has been an annoyance for decades.  I see an opportunity for some of you clever folks to do like Mr Leno does to recreate obscure old radio knobs and the like.  We need an engineer to make up a CAD file for the ends that someone with access to one of these wiz-bang printers can make up a few of them... If that goes well we can have them made by an injection-molding shop, and make them available again - or for the first time!

But if they're just 15 bucks for each rod with 2 of 'em on it, who's gonna bother!  I suppose if we offer them for $30, we'll get gripping but I'll see what I can do.... still better than most of $150 for the full set....

I hear you Jemal, happens at my shop too.

My favourite is when somone turns up at the front door, more often than not a person that's never purchased from us, with parts that they have incorrectly ordered from a UK supplier, asking if we can do a swap for them. Some folks just don't think it through.

I invite them to find the front door......and make sure it doesn't whack them on the back of the head on the way out!

I'm amazed some of you think comparing prices in different countries is as simple as that!  And that you think this forum is a public service!   Yes a real moderator would have axed that post instantly. Our policy forbids putting up links to competitors for items we carry.  Still want heavy handed moderation, or is an occasional Robster not that bad after all??  I GUARRANTEE that very few businesses would allow posting of "here's where you can buy it cheaper", and it's also just plain rude.... and bad manners to boot!  Remember the living room analogy? Don't come into my house and tell me how bad it sucks.

Go ahead and order them from England. Then report back your experience and true cost.  And tell us what it's like to return them when one or two ends show up broken!  Oh, keep your eye on your mailbox for a bill from DHL or FeEX for your Import duty, and their service charge...  Try and get that back when you return the parts!

Oh you might as well just fly to England and get it over with!

Sorry MM --  146$ Plus ship for your set just doesnt compute vs - 77$ Plus ship =  110$ shipped and delivered from Minispares in the Uk.

Mini spares also offers singles of the bows if needed too -  about 15$ each.

number 1 with red ends is EEB100060

number 2 and 3 is white ends are both EEB100070

number 4 with black ends is EEB100080

number 5 with blue ends is EEB10090

number 6 with yellow ends is EEB100100

Definitely, it is not a job you want to do twice for sure.

Doesn't MM price match ?

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Order a new set your headliner guy won't be happy when the old brittle ends pop off just as he gets the thing tight. I looked at having a set made from SS tube and welding machined tips on. Cost went out the roof. Steve (CTR)

Of course, there the actual new set, once you've wasted enough time with broken ends:
