Man that sucks! Hopefully your supplier will replace them and check the threads before sending to you

New is in NO WAY always better. Words to live by. I installed new cylinders the other day and after I got EVERYTHING in and ready to go, only then, when I went to bleed them, did I find out the nipple threads were stripped. Sooooo annoying!

If the wheel cylinders aren't leaking, I'd leave them well alone - better a part that you know works than a new one that will probably fail faster. New isn't always better...

If you Google "brake shoe and clutch facing bonding adhesive" there is some stuff called Anabond or Tuff-Bond, but it looks like it's only sold in China or India if that tells you anything.

Replace, will do.
Just out of curiosity, what would you use if in a bind and needed to reattach?
not recommended unless you live in siberia and parts are light years away then use something JB weld but it really doesnt worth it going that far..

Also check the drums for scoring. Have them checked for inside diameter and if they are within spec, have them cut (machined) smooth. If they are out of spec, replace them as well. With all new bits, you'll have much improved brake performance and won't have to be concerned with them for a long time.

Howdy folks,
1972 stock mini. Taking a look at my rear drum brakes. I pulled the hub, and while wiping off the brake pad, it fell off of the shoe. Looks to be on by a type of glue. Is there a certain type of glue, or is it time for replacing when that happens?
shoes are very cheap just replace them

Replace them of course.....both sides
While at it, I would also replace the wheel cylinders (cheap) and the spring kit. If the adjusters are rounded off etc, may as well replace those also.
All relatively cheap replacement parts
