I was a fireman at Raf Croughton for 4 years and met my wife at Raf Upper Heyford when I had my T Reg mini 1000. Also did a side gig as a fireman for the 95 GP at Silverstone, fun times.

Croughton is just down the road from Silverstone - I drive past it when going there or to MitP and the Pod.

When were you at Mildenhall?  I did 4 years in the Special Purpose shop from 85-89.

I worked at vehicle maints when I did my 6 yrs in the UK my job was better on Mildenhall then Lakenheath but I lived on Lakenheath

At my last job I owned a bunch of assets in the UK. I was supposed to go over there (RAF Croughton) to work on them and sign off on some deliveries/inspections, but we sent another guy instead because I already had papers to leave that office. laame!

Where are you stationed at now?  I was stationed at 2 different bases in England during my career.  Spent 2 yrs at RAF Mildenhall from 76 - 78, and at RAF Alconbury from 90 - 94.  Loved every minute of it!  Normally try to go there at least once a year, but right now my passport has expired and can't get over there.

I put in for a long tour there on my next PCS. But I'd take a TDY. Haha. I'll let you know when my orders drop if I got lucky. 

Hello, Just curious if there are any GIs stationed in England that frequent the board?  Several of us retired guys were stationed there before.  Anyway, I'd like to find an active duty guy (or girl) stationed in the UK that might help out an old GI and the Mini.  Cheers, Hugh
