The size doesn't matter, it's how you use it.

Also have a larger wheel on the Aussie Van with 1098 primarily because long trips...across North America, around Australia...the larger diameter means less driver effort.
Even with a 15" wheel and the 1380, when the power was demanded quickly torque steer was in your face. A larger wheel helps address that issue as well.

I purchased a wooden 14" steering wheel off ebay, it was a fake Moto Lita, but the price was so enticing I had to. The wheel did have a flaw in the stain on the underside of the top of the wheel, but I'm hoping most people won't notice because of the location. Other than that it looks fantastic with the black boss. I can't wait to get all my other Christmas presents, (new dash, gauges & steering rack) in the car.
Thanks for all the feedback, I'll post pictures if anyone's interested.

They came in several colors. What are you looking for?

I have an 11" Moto Lita on my daily driver for San Fran commutes. I got used to it and am the only one who likes it - everyone else hates it. Just don't sneeze at 80mph. And yes, parrallel parking is a workout - but a badly needed one. Call me crazy but I'm thinking of getting a quick rack as well.

I still love the schoolbus style steeering wheel. Easy to steer.
jeg, why is your radio too far from the driver?? You need a passenger to operate it?? no passenger, no music?? Lol
Best you show us a photo of your schoolbus wheel then trigger - preferably with the obligatory tin of custard next to it...
...but then again, we all know that you can't/won't do that.
Good one - no passenger, no need for any music
Alex, this old thread -

aaanyway, just got back from a saturday yard sale hunting, and bought this 50¢ steering wheel, i have'nt tried it on yet but i wish the hub fits,so i can get the wooden steering wheel at autozone., if it doesnt fit, well it's fine, i can sell the steering wheel for one buck, i get back my 50¢ and a profit of another 50¢...good enough.

I've got a 13" wheel on my '66, but I had a 12" on my old 998cc car. That was a pretty tiny wheel! Then again I'm 6'6" and quite large. I need all the room I can get.

I think I'll go with the 14". It's been a pretty even split on the voting. Thanks to everyone that voted.
@Hunter2 - I'd love to put a 1275 on there, but I don't have 6K to spend and until I get the new steering rack in, I'm not going on any long distance trips. Too scary at speed.

Add more power, upsize the steering wheel, which I did with 1380 grunt in the sedan. Much, much easier/more relaxing on a long drive
