I'm using the stock mid-1980's wheel, whateve size it is. My first Mini came withe the busman's wheel, which got changed to a realy small, but chubby foam-style one which may have been 10" or 11" like Malcolm's. But i always had stong hands and arms, and it was handy to change lanes with a flick of the wrist.

I use a 13" flat Moto Lita or Mountney with a steering drop bracket on it's highest setting on my cars. I used and still have a 10" Astrali from my first Mini, i must have been nuts or a lot stronger or both when i was a teenager ;-)

When I was a teen I use a cheap 13, always thought it was like driving a heavy go-cart. I now use a 14 in suede covered Momo. I couldn't be happier.

I had an old 14" MotaLita for years, was happy with it but then it needed re-covering. So I put a s/h 13" MotaLita on. Not happy, too much steering effort (I'm now 70). So after 12 months I sold that and went back to a 14" one. A new Mountney this time. More affordable, and still a nice wheel.
Landed in Oz, it only cost $3 more than I sold the MotaLita for!
[edit] I do use a drop bracket, but with the column bolt at top of slot.
Wheel came with a Leyland and an MG sticker, I've since swapped for a Morris one.

13 with a drop bracket for me. A 15" wheel will hit your thighs with a drop bracket fully dropped.

I'm running a 15" Moto Lita with their boss to Betty (see Minimag last year for fitting article) and it's superb.

Steering wheel recommondation?
I'm looking to get a Moto-lita steering wheel and I like the larger wheel size of the '60's minis. But would the larger wheel be too big with the boss?
BTW I'm 6'-2", but I do have seat extensions.
