I will not be surprised if this law happens in California, because as we all know, California DMV is the harrdest to deal with among all transport sector in this planet, california has tons of law to comply before you can even get your license plate, there is smog test, epa, carbon monoxide teat, and you need to put licencse plate in front and back of the car( ridiculous) , there is bumper law too, , so crazy Out of this world !

Our president believes that climate change is the largest threat to national security and has allowed the EPA to run wild.

Of course, there are spectators inside a racing arena, and they inhale and exhale too. You dont want them to inhale fumes from a race car which runs in special kind of oil and special kind of gas.

The only way I can see it happening is the EPA mandating specific rules changes from the sanctioning bodies and the next step is requiring parts manufacturers to get each part they manufacture CARB certified and stickered, or perhaps prohibiting the sale and eventually the manufacture of non-oem and non-CARB certified components.

WTF?
The only way I see of policing this, besides prohibiting the worldwide manufacture of non-oem parts, is to require emissions inspections even for racecars.
Ludicrous.
