I'm pretty sure the OP is talking about a 998 classic MINI and it's simply a case of every Cooper is a mini but not every mini is a Cooper....it should be clarified

Why not ? Any car can get an engine change and as we all know there are a lot more 998's out there than 1275's especiallly S motors.
