Authi cars are quite rare. This car only suffers from retail-red paint job and mags bought to sell the car, so you could return this car to a very cool specimen in no time.

It does go outside the regular mini community. Reading the comments it is almost as though no one had ever seen nudge bars before.

Wow, so it sold for $16k... good lord, should have listed mine on there. Maybe next go around this fall. What made the Authi pull more than the Inno? Clientele?

From their website
We charge a 5% buyer’s fee to the winning bidder (up to a max of $5K). The winner’s bid hold converts to a charge at auction end, and non-winning bidders’ holds are all released. This buyer’s fee also motivates the buyer to follow through with the deal. Sellers pay $250 to list and nothing else, period.

If i were to sell my Innocenti it would be on BaT.

I think the Inno Export is a far more desireable car over all.  It's basically a 1275 Cooper S with much cooler dash

That cable on the Authi leads directly behind the grille, so would most likely be a hood release

I'll be curious what the Authi brings compared to my Innocenti 1300 will bring. Authi on BAT, and my Inno on ebay.... seems like BAT has been pulling in some pretty decent money, and I have been tempted to list on there myself, but going with the services I'm used to using. Might just have to try it out one day.

It's a shame when people repaint that they don't do a complete job, having a white engine compartment doesn't do it for me on a red car..

Any guesses as to the cable coming through the bulkhead on the right side of the car? It has a knob under the dash and appears to head up to the grille and to the left.

The two post lift and the floor crushing points are always a disappointment.

There are two nice brackets on the right hand side of the engine bay that look as though they had some great purpose, like maybe a brake servo.

Is that a Spanish variation on a Smiths speedo? still made by Smiths?

I like the look of it.

Was that style expansion tank a standard Authi feature?

I also like this one below on the main BAT page:

Every time I see a Mini being lifted by the floor pans... I die a little.

This is actually a very nice car!  Too bad about the mirrors and the red respray. The un nudged nudge bars ae great, the steering wheel, awesome, the Authi speedometer, very cool.

Buy it, fit disc brakes, clean up that plug wire disaster and enjoy, maybe fit an alternator and headlamp relays.

Also, for those that pay attention, check out the expansion tank and the tropical fan. This mini can easily take the big heat of the south west deserts as it is!
