Dan nailed it.

Sold my 911 and proceeds from the sale of our house (sold the Porsche to help with renovations) were to go into the mini and getting the new workshop up and running.

Let me close with "Our new furniture IS nice".

Just an update all.

Time to move is coming soon and I would really prefer to have this go to someone in the community before I try my luck on CL. Price has been lowered in the ad. $5,000. Let me know if you have an offer for me.

Cheers.

Please read the posting. This is not a parts sale.

good call!  good you decided to sell it, you just moved to a new place, new job, have kids, you can't and won't have time for the mini restoration i tellya.     A busy mini owner needs to buy a headache free mini.  because seriously, fixing mini can be very time consuming and very frustrating if you can't fix it., but if your mini runs well, it can be very rewarding.
Get a good running mini when you're ready.
good luck!

Thanks. I thought about it for over a month (while out of town) and decided that it would be better to get rid of them. The price is lower than the cost of all the parts.

Hi Dan,

With having to worry about getting things here in Houston ready to move, finding a place to live in Seattle and still having a heavy work load, one thing I dont have is much free time.

I have created an ad here on MiniMania and I hope someone can enjoy the time I have spent with these.

I will be getting another for sure when I get up there.

Here is the link for anyone browsing the forums. //www.minimania.com/cars4sale/13721/1972_Leyland_1000_Sedan

Just box 'em up in a shipping container and send them to Don.. (or Jemal). I'm sure he can find space. Pick them up when you get settled. (Just buy all the parts you need when you do.)

Might be simpler than selling.

Well well well.

The time has come to let these 2 go. I wanted to swap all the things from one to the other but being out of town recently, getting my current house ready for sale and my managers rushing me to get relocated, there is no way that I will be able to finish the work needed to get on ready for the move.

I will be posting a classified article soon. I will be getting another once I'm settled but I need to get things squared away here in Houston as well as in Washington.

Feel free to send me any replies on here before I make the ad.

Thanks.

Just a quick update guys. Looks like my relocation request from my work is going to start gaining steam sooner rather than later. With this being said I will not have enough time to get all the work I need done to get at least 1 running.

I need to sell both Mini's and all the goodies (a few boxes of parts as well).

I have posted all the images on Imgur.

Imgur Album 1

Imgur Album 2

A classified ad might be produced in a day or two, depending on my work load.

Fill up the good chassis with good parts from the other car.  Lots of classic MINI activity in the Pac Northwest, you won't regret it even if it sits in the garage for some time.  I drug a junk 3.0L engine all the way from Oregon to Florida, then it sat for a year in my garage before I had the time to rebuild it but everyday I looked at it continued that dream to build it and put it in my old Porsche.

When you get to Seattle make a point of getting the detail's on the Vancouver All British Field Meet at Vandusen Gardens held in May annually and the Portland All British held at PIR on Labor Day weekend annually.

And yes, Chuck Heleker is your man in Seattle!

Wow you guys, the responses are amazing and inspiring.

The only dilemma now is that my company is trying to get things rolling sooner rather than later. So now that I have a time factor to worry about finding someone that wants to buy these 2 from me and have a nice project.

I would love to just take everything off the one with all the goodies and just throw it in the other one. That would just make the immobile one heavier to move around.

I can take some pictures, might make a classified but anyone near Houston looking for a project?

Thanks again for the responses!

My thoughts would be to sell them both off, take your cash and after you get settled in Seattle, go up to Vancouver BC and buy something ready to go- Your U S Dollar buying power will get you something real nice
