I've got a great idea, how about a conversion kit to make an A series twin cam powered doughnut machine. Like this one //www.hulu.com/watch/23459

Whats-a-matter? "Twinkies" one of your favourite food groups? (I have problems with that other thread titled "Donuts"...)

.

At no point does the OP say anything about the trans. Maybe his kit includes a trans? Or he's found a method of putting manual gears and selectors in the auto casing? I agree, a kit that does what is already documented is a little too simple..

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

We have run auto blocks in our LeMons car exclusively for 5 years, we grenaded one, but it wasn't the fault of the conversion, but a faulty assessment of the temperature reading. Apparently the driver needs to look at the guage every so often.
current AA block has a BMW 1100 Twinkie conversion. It goes pretty well...

That is cheating! Actually I would do a pipe with a couple of O rings that presses into the end of the gallery and then makes a nice big radius and... Well, I am neither running out of 1275 blocks and the only Auto block I have is happily automatic ing along.

Mur,
I have done a couple of A series 1275 auto blocks, if doing an mpi I would screw a brass elbow into the end of the main oil gallery and run a hose to a remote filter.

More than a couple folks have freely shared their experience and knowledge of this process on the Internet. What would your kit offer that is an improvement over the excellent available instructions, and the available pieces? I think an oil pump spacer and oprv seat are both available and both could be made by marginally skilled hobbyists, but you could have significantly improved the process. Did you? Have you improved the oil pump alignment?

Are you also looking to service MPI block based automatics from the later cars? I haven't read about anyone doing that yet, but I have friends on Vancouver Island who are looking into it.

I am informing this forum that I have created a conversion kit for a 1275 automatic engine to be fitted to a standard transmission. It is an upgrade kit designed to be used by the average person with common mechanical knowledge. I am looking for a market place and need input on pricing this kit. It comes with everything in the way of tools and parts kit except an electric hand drill. This conversion can be completed within a few hours. The engine must be out of the car and on a bench or floor space. I will open my phone line to any inquiries until the end of April 2016. You may send inquiries to [email protected] thereafter or before this date. I normally answer to the address of Wogmog2 but due to the expected response I chose my regular business email address. All questions answered ASAP.

This is the perfect opportunity for a outstanding upgrade for any Mini, MG 1100, Austin America or Moke. Make any inquires to 937-859-7881 between the hours of 9AM to5pm daily, or leave a message on the telephone with a working number.

Thank you,

Dann Wade
