Can't be Robster he drives a Mini "special" not a Cooper .

Are you here in CA or the US or UK or...?
Do you know what market the car was originaly for?
Your car probably would have an HS4 carb ( if a 998 )
What's wrong with your present carb, or was it a project and didn't have one?
