Peter,

I had a Moke wiper motor rebuilt in Atlanta a couple of months ago. Cost me $85. I guess it would depend on what your motor needed. Ask for John. Auto Electric Manufacturing 1389 Church St. Extention Marietta, GA 30060 770-424-1274

Not CHeap / Reconditioned ROver motor.  ( shafts and mounts are slightly different) but an easy mod to a moke

Looks like these guys recon them in UK...Perhaps inquire to send for a core refurb.

and then- Brand new = remanufactured

//www.ebay.com/itm/Land-Rover-Series-1-2-2a-12v-Lucas-CW-CW1-CWX-Windscreen-Wiper-Motor-Unit-519900-/272182087439?hash=item3f5f510f0f:gqMAAOSwyjBW8Sk-

Aftermarket replacement- perhaps a temporary solution.

Im also here in NC- I took my motor apart some - and the brushes were broken internally . The Motor mechanism is pretty simple  and its not scarry to take the cover off for a look/ or peek .Simple 12v power to it - and the arm on the outside turns to make the contact insdie turn the voltage to the motor.  I never got into making new brush contacts - but i did finagle enough to get it to work temporarly..

As a whole - in NC it will never have to have a State inspection for DOT reasons.. youll get a plate   It might have to go for 'antique vehicle: inspectionn but all they see is the VIN and the vehcile and say YEp Its a vin.

I havnt had a working wiper and Rain X does the trick-  I think having a wiper anyways would dump any rain right off the windscreen onto the driver right on the side- There's enough to contend with tire spray  to the driver while moking in the rain.

Options are endless. Rain X Works for mymoke when rain Moking! Ive met 3 other Mokes at CMU Events= NO one has working wiper! ! !

Hey Peter,

There was a guy on here selling wiper brushes before. I can't seem to find it right now, but that would be the best place to start in my opinion. I'll keep searching and see if I can find him.

My 65 Mini Moke has a Lucas wiper motor. [on] roll eyes [/off]  Model FW2, for a Mk1 British Moke, or a Land Rover Mk1,2,2a, and others.

It needs replacement or rebuilding.  Anyone know of anyone who could do a good job rebuilding it for me?

Or , anyone have a good one they'd be willing to part with?

Thanks!
