Post a picture of your rad and where this 1/2" hose is attached and to what. It might be a heater hose connection (usually to he lower rad hose) or an overflow hose (usually smaller) or some version of an expansion tank connection.

If your car has one the by pass hose connects from the top of the water pump to the cylinder head. As i said in your other thread if you have not replaced the water pump and hoses you may as well while you have it apart as they are inexpensive.

Hi all,

This weekend was the rear suspension and beefing up the issues with the rear subframe.

Question: I had a coolant leak. Pulled the radiator, and pressure tested. Tests good. I'm thinking it was a hose that was poorly connected?

I have an 86' Chelsea. Anyone know what the deal is with "bypass vs. non" I know I have an extra, what looks to be 1/2" rubber tube that was attached to the radiator. The bypass is on the water pump, I guess, but does this have anything to do with the afformentioned rubber hose?
