No need for duct tape, paper clips or band aids...except a plaster for my shin (whacked onto the protruding wood frame of the platform bed in the Auburn Super 8).

Awesome! Did you also implement Factory approved duct tape and paper clips?!!! One time I used actual bandaids to hold some broken carb linkage together so I could make it to work one morning. Gotta love it!      Mini Estate

Most will want to see their Mini fully serviced before taking on a longer trip.  I usually do...

BUT...I didn't have any more time than to clean up the rear brake shoes & drums before heading 1,700 miles south to MMW.

On getting to Auburn to collect some parts, I asked for lube/oil/filter, rear brake adjust & rear trumpet lengthening (California roads) & look over please.  Done and the look over spotted a loose upper ball joint - replaced, a separated mid-exhaust hanger - replaced & with new baling/safety wire.

The rest of the trip home was without incident - no rear tires getting into the flairs.
