I did join up with a lawyer a few days back. Starting physical therapy today for my back. As far as the car, not in a huge rush. Ideally would like it gone before my 2nd kid arrives in a few weeks, but it is what it is. I still got 4 minis to finish. 3 of them have a good chance getting done, the 4th one not so much, and my personal car def not. At this point I'm hoping to get it done by October, and that is even seeming like a stretch. I'll be building a custom cage for that car, I intended to prior to this, now it will be mandated by wife. Just will have to properly design it to be far away from the head. Anyway I'll be curious how this all shakes out, and how long it will take to resolve everything. Filling out a phone book worth of paper now.

I am not sure, lawyers said it was okay to proceed on the sale of the car as 3 adjusters already came out and looked at it. They said it was a "total loss". So I am sure the title would be adjusted at some point, or maybe not. The car has most parts you would need minus rear subframe if you had a shell. I do have rear glass, taillights, and some other odds and ends that could go with it. I still need to post some pictures of the accident. I look terrible. But feeling a little better after 2 weeks now, just back is not in good shape, and my permanent stitches on my face.

I can guarantee it won't.
You are doing the right thing by dealing with the car first.
Keep the car in your possession until settled, in my experience they are a lot easier to deal with when you have possession of the vehicle.
Glad you are ok.

I might have a buyer for the whole car and engine. I'm restoring a 67 S and it needs everything.

Wasn't there a complete front frame assembly just sold on eBay for $3500? I would have bid but it was in the New York area some where? I bought the complete wiring loom from the car just missing out on the brake servo and pedal box assembly.............

Chichm had one on Ebay awhile back with an asking price of somewhere around $7K. I don't know if it sold.

I just finished completed converting a Historic SCCA 1964 Mini into a Street Car/Weekend Warrior. Unfortunetaly me and my buddy got rearended hard on the first test drive out! 3 F-ing months down the drain! But yes, I am fortunate to be typing this and only suffered head/neck/back pain and a nice laceration to my face requiring 5 stitches. I will be listing the car as it sits for spares or repair. I didn't want to post pictures, but as it's been 2 weeks I have cooled down a bit more from the unfortunate demise of the situation.

I am not a huge proponent of cages on the street, but this one certainly probably saved my life, or atleast help sustain worse injuries from getting hit by a Lincoln Towncar on the highway. Anyway, specs and listing below. Be safe out there!
