Here are a few pictures of the mini group on Saturday's car show. Sorry for the quality and inability to rotate after upload on here. It was a perfect weekend weather wise. Great showing from all and it is always great to see other Classic Mini owners at the PVGP. The Mini race was great with the Purple People Eater Mini's taking 1st & 2nd in their under 1.5L group.

You'll notice John's (Johnny) perfectly patina'd and storied #45 Downton Race Mini Cooper, previously owned and raced by John Colgate. Also Bill's blacked out Panel Van which is a regular at the PVGP event and is a sleeper in it's own right. Of course, Don's (PA PUP) Pick Up in the distance as he is working the corner. Also a picture of our pup sitting still for once in front of my car.

Looking forward to Watkins Glen early September and Hartwood Acres car show end of September.

Your pictures are great, PAPup. I've spent a lot of time trying to get action pictures at Mini races but I suck big time at it so I have had very limited success.

More photos. The weather was great this weekend. A little cloudy Saturday AM. Perfect sunny weather Sunday with low humidity and nice breeze. Made working trackside pleasant. These photos were taken during the races Sunday afternoon. I'm pretty tired from being on my feet so much, so maybe I'll go through the photos and post a few more tomorrow. Our corner workers likes the "twiins" 51 and 61. Plus the yellow #2 mini was voted "Workers Choice" that race because they liked the wind-up key stuck on the boot lid. The photos showing the tight turn (and the porta potty in the background) were at turn 13 while the rear and side view photos were at turn 14.

Thx Don! It was a great day yesterday with 9 minis in yesterday's show. I'll post a few photos of our cars & the race this evening.

For anyone who has not been to this event, there are about 300+ British cars of all Marques on display and somewhere around 700 + of all other makes, models on display. From vintage, to brand new , to one off super cars; all while vintage races are going on through the streets!

Heading down shortly to start again today!

Here are some photos from the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix taken today (Saturday) during the qualifying session . The photos are from Turn 14 along the golf course. They were taken by my cell phone camera using the continuous shutter mode, so the resolution isn't great, but you can at least see the cars on the track. I'll try to get some more tomorrow.

Regards, Don
