I've wanted to get this framed for years.
One of these years I will. A true funny man.

And also at 6'2", RHD lets me rest my throttle leg's knee against the door in roll up window cars. Big help on the long trips I take in a Mini.
RHD in a LHD country becomes a problem in the Estates and Vans. I have to run an additional inside mirror to be able to counter the big blank spot in a critical place because of the barn doors.

Wheel arch space as pointed out by Alex is the number one reason i prefer RHD, there is somewhere to rest your left foot after changing gear.

So much for not bringing up the RHD v LHD thing….lol

The wheel is at the same reverse angle, but the pedals aren't, which is why it feels as if the wheel is angled more.

Look at the pedal setup on RHD from the right - wheelarch, throttle, brake, column, clutch.

As the column has to go between the clutch and brake for safety reasons, it offsets everything on LHD - wheelarch, space, clutch, column, brake, throttle.

RHD is therefore technically better as you're sitting straighter in the car.

There's something wrong with your brain if you cannot control your reflexes and voluntary muscles... The most intelligent people are the jugglers in  carnivals, the least would be people who cannot drive even a simple RHD minis.. Gosh!!

First off, if you are right handed, your right hand is the dominant one.  Better to have that one steering the beast and the less dominant one to do the shifting.  Also, if you have driven RHD Minis consistently, when you get into a LHD Mini it seriously feels like the steering wheel is siting on an angle.  It faces the door more than it faces the driver.  Very strange feeling.

I'm with sir Spitz on this one...Heck with the RHD ! 95% of the driving people in this Planet is Dextral (right handed) , we all use our right hand to shift the gear lever right?? , so having said that, drivers should sit on the left side of the car. very very few people are left handed. most of them are ...beep beep, i don't wanna say the word..lol if i ever get to drive an RHD mini, i'd prolly be dead by now. why didn't issigonis made a mini with the steering wheel in the middle? that'll be cool, and less arguements like this. haaaaaaay!

Here we go again ( roll eyes )

LHD much MUCH better for over in CA.  Probably near 1/2 of all MINIs made were LHD anyway, so lets not go to the " real minis are RHD" world.

Making a 1275GT with servo and the Clubman clocks LHD, would be harder than a centre binnacle car....just saying

Then again....$7500CAD, and I'd jump, even with the draw back of RHD

Does not matter how many times I have to get in and out if I can find the wheel I'll drive it. I don't think RHD is awful but not my first choice. Steve (CTR)

Right hand drive cars are better anyway.  Still, a new rack, a new brake and accelerator pedal, and 2 new hydrolic lines and Bob's your uncle.  I'd never let LHD vs RHD sway me away from purchasing any Mini.  They're just too dang easy to change.
Truer words were never spoken especially when it comes to a Mini and even moreso in a Moke.
LHD Mni's are awful imo.
