Sirius was an options. The car needs to be fitted w/ the reciever somewhere. Check your vin here

It should tell you if you had it installed.
If not, there are retrofit kits available.

Just purchased a 2014 R56 and was trying to figure out how to connect Sirius XM satellite service. The owners manual contains specific instructions on how this is done, but the sound system in my Mini does not have the buttons to push to accomplish this. Are there different sound system levels for the Mini? Are some not "satellite ready". Any ideas? Thanks
