I have been offered the bilsteins too - they get good reviews for the saloon

yes mine is an internal tank and I have a huge amount of work to do on it. the last 6 of the vin are L66922

the WSP tell me it comes up as a Morris but the VIN letters say Austin - its registered as a morris mini 2D though.
cheers

Then switched to these and says there is big difference. He is putting the same on his Saloon.

I doubt if there will be any difference there Spitz, it is probably more in the damping side of things.

The microfiche suggests that GSA129 is for LWB vehicles and GSA130 is for saloons.  Belgian built cars and cars with Denovo wheels also had different spec dampers.

Makes not a blind bit of difference, as they have all been NLA for a long time - essentially they are all the same now.

I have Koni Sport adjustable dampers on the front of ROO and standard sedan dampers on the rear...as no LWB specific items were on offer.

If there are LWB specific rear dampers, since I too am building an early Countryman, I would be interested in knowing.

Thanks guys

Our host doesnt show different shocks but there are different numbers and minispares has different shocks for the saloon and estate but I cant see a difference anywhere in the specs on length, spring rate or valving when I look up the modern numbers I can find.
If you are running saloon shocks with no problem and don't notice a difference though then I guess that will work just fine for me
Thanks muchly
cheers

Really?  Have never heard of this.

I know the early estate trumpets were a bit longer….but not dampers

There may have been a different shock back in the day for long wheel base cars but I have always used saloon shocks which will be fine.

I have been offered some saloon rear shocks but am building an estate. the shocks for both look identical (the ones I removed to the new bilstein saloon replacement shocks). Is there a major difference in shocks between the saloon and the estate/van mini? I have a 61 woody that I am restoring.
cheers
