My mini is almost at standard ride height; as in, the front wheels and rear wheels are almost concentric with the arches - maybe 3/4" maximum lower than concentric... That is exactly how I like it; definitely more of a sleeper appearance than if it was slammed.
It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

I don't know how folks manage it otherwise; short of pulling the bracing out the bonnet at least ; something I didn't want to do...
I believe some of the twin cam builds use f/g bonnets to overcome the problem, cutting those steel braces would make the bonnet far too flimsy.

But not enough to care. Sounds like the rooster is gone; hopefully for good (may be find enjoyment on minifinity or wherever else he decides to call home), so I reckon it's time to call it a day, and get back to minis...
And on the subject of minis; I've just lowered my engine by 1/2" so the valve cover will clear the bonnet. In case anyone wants to do this, you can either find an auto subframe, or do like I did and make a jig of the existing holes (with a 1/2" spacer under each side of the jig), then cut out the area around the existing mounts;1/2" fore and aft past the edge of the old mount, and 7/8" lower than where the mount sits normally. Now, you plate the outer side of the holes in subframe, the engine will sit exactly .450" lower. Finish by using the jig to re-drill new holes. Basically, because the sides of the subframe are 30-degrees each, you have to space both sides out by the exact amount you want to lower the engine by; and the double skinned section just happen to be .225" thick each side.
Thought I'd post that to remind us why we often come here. Facebook for emotional distress, forums for enthusiasts.

Ok ok ok. lets get to the bottom of all this. Yes i created a fake screen name....... or two.......or three. But who can blame me? Everyone sits around and complains about bobby boy for months. I show up and show how obnoxious he is and all of the sudden jemal is here and bans the idiot and me along with him.
Jemal, i am completely ok with you posting my IP address. But I would also like for you to post the other idiot's IP address. Fair is fair, right? I will own up to my own mistakes when you post my IP. Post both of our IP's.
And no..... I don't like to make fun of kids with down syndroms. *rolleyes*

To be honest, I've been really busy and haven't really been following this site very much lately, so don't really know the history behind referenced 'male parts', sharklaser (never heard of it before, though I understand the words in the description, don't know what legitimate purpose it serves), Down's Syndrome kids or Alex's use for someone's IP address.
I'm also considering dumping the mini and find something else to do. Something with a different and more homogenized community, perhaps trout fishing by myself. But before that, I've been helping a local racer and have the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix this weekend. I need to dust off my own car too, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to take it out before the races.

FWIW, I suspected igofast was as you describe - not Robster but someone being equally annoying. Which made it/him even more objectionable.

FYI, and this is getting to edge of revealing too much, "igofast" had NOTHING to do with Robster ect. It is one you troublemakers, the same one who created previous fake accounts.... someone that thinks it's funny to put all of you on, to further rile you up as if the "real" Robster can't be stupid enough. Someone that keeps making fake emails "@sharklasers.com". Does that ring a bell with anyone? Anyone go "AHA".... sharklasers... I know who that is! Well that fool is the one that usually takes the stupidity of the scale.... Yes you know who you are! You should be ashamed of yourself, trying to outdo what may well be just a real idiot!! Do you like making fun of Down's Syndrome kids too? How about if I post your last IP address? Maybe Alex could do something with it?

do NOT respond! just type "troll" so newbies will know not to take his advice. Don't try and correct what he has said for the sake of others, it just encourages him to respond again.......and again.......and again
