If you are keeping costs down i have heard they sell aluminum ones on ebay for less than $100 that work well although i have never tried one myself.

had thought about that; just trying to keep the costs down. probably not a wise way to do that. thought maybe the newer 3 cores were better at cooling than the originals. thank you for your opinion.

the better rad is the screw in sender type. it also makes draining alot easier than taking the hose off.

would anyone know if a non-spi radiator (no sending unit) would fit in my 1992 spi cooper? maybe a ARP2000 or any 3 core standard radiator? thank you.
