Dan,

Decrepit one is on the left in photo ABOVE.  It did come apart.  Not really much more than a test.  It was truly ugly (photo here)!

Bits on the right ABOVE are from 1 of the 2 old NOS items.  Photos here are on disassembly of 1 of the NOS items.

Rick; how is that really decrepit one doing? Last I saw you'd returned it to the bath.

I bought 2...they were used NOS.  However after molasses/water bath they came round.

Not all will.

I did not see any reference to inertia valves in the original post. Are we talking about the same valve? The one I am referring to is not a proportioning valve that works on pressure. It is the inertia type.....with the simple rolling ball and inclined ramp. my previous Minis all had the pressure type.....I can find those on other kinds of cars or at Auto parts stores; my experience is that the inertia type does a better job in dual purpose,(street/race), cars, so that is what I am trying to find for my partners Mini, which has no valve at all, probably because it originally had dual piston masters for front/rear control. those were binned long ago, as we must use a custom pedal box similar to the reverse Wilwood or Tilton setup for the conversion.

Should have read the original post better................I don't think there rare as such every car has one! finding a good used one might be a bit difficult, although I have one sitting here if it's any good to you inside condition unknown, but they are fairly easy to rebuild if you already have one?
They also have adjustable ones of the same type which seem more readily available? Or our host has some new old stock late style ones that will work in place of the early pressure limiting type...............

Mini's are like buses they come along in a bunch

Have checked in parts catalogs, but can't find the old Mini brake inertia valves. Are these still available somewhere? Anyone have a used one? These were mounted on the inside of the rear sub frames on some models. My partner needs one for his conversion/restoration project. Thanks
