You'll have to ask Graham about the crank.  As the driver said, "it is a work of art"!

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Twenty pounds of boost on Methanol produced over 370 hp at sea level in NZ. Fastest run we had on the salt was just over 166mph.

Methanol managed to fry a valve in less than 3 miles on one of the runs but swapped the head from the back up motor in record time to go out and hold onto another record. Fantastic team to spend time with. They did what some said was impossible.

According to one of the videos, 12" with 55 ratio tires to get the same diameter as original 10" tires. Apparently they could not find 10" tires rated up to 175mph. Steel rims. (It may have been the 2015 spec... video wasn't specific.)

970 engine: bore as for 1275, short stroke crank from California, (very) upgraded pistons, rods from KAD, 16 valve OHC head, turbo on 18psi boost, methanol for fuel. Cooling consists of a water tank in the cabin with an electric pump. They were planning to run the engine oil cooling loop into the water tank as engine oil was heating up too quickly.

Gearing: final drive very steep, requiring a push start as car cannot get itself rolling.

Yes, with standard glass, rear bumpers with over riders and trim bars!  Also used the standard fuel tank.  Tires were Yokohamas that they shaved down.  Great bunch of guys!

I've been following this on Facebook.  I really hope they are going to be back next year because I will be there.  A few people are going to run Lambrettas next year.
