Hey 66coop, the machine takes .DST files. I've got two methods of converting to vector and automatically converting to sewing files but I've found that automatic digitizing warrants unneeded stitches. So I'm learning to manual digitize at the moment. If something is too advanced I send it out to be digitized.

What type of files does an embroidering machine need? I am a graphic designer and could probably help out.

Thanks everyone, my goal is to get more practice under my belt before promoting at car shows. I've got some Mini Cooper badges I'm practicing on next and will post soon.

Yes, looking good!

I thought I'd get a new cap with the Mini script embroidered on it. The only thing left from my first Mini is the cast metal script. I wen to one store: about $22 for a decent cap and $40-$50 to get the badge scanned and converted, then embroidered. Needless to say, I don't have it.

My wife sews, but doesn't want a machine that can embroider, either.

Looking good.

Might make a little coin at car shows, club events, or mini meets also.

well I thought I would learn how to use the wife's new embroidery machine. I paid to get the mini digitized and turned out great but soon realizing that all the other designs I wanted would really start to add up I better start learning how to do it myself. They're not bad after about a half dozen attempts while watching Portuguese diy YouTube videos. The moke is a little more advanced but was a first attempt last night. I'm hoping to keep tweaking the badge design so I can put it on the car cover for this winter. More to come. Thanks for lookingMini embroidery
