We can give you generic advices here about your BMW Mini, but if you want detailed advice you can go to this link below. They deal with Minis manufactured on and after year 2000. We deal more of classic minis here, we deal with the real macoy. Tell them your Mini problem and if you need to replace parts, come back and purchase the parts from our host, the Minimania. Good luck!

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this type of forum. I am a motor mechanic by trade but had not done a lot in the past 20 years. My daughter purchased a 2005 Mini Cooper S Auto (Cherry). Other than a regular service and replaced the cracked coolant expansion tank it has been a magic little machine. About a month ago she tied to start it and it would not start. All dash lights, headlights etc worked fine but would not crank over. Battery checked, good. Heard that starter motors can be an issue, removed it and had it checked. Thought it may have been the immobiliser, so took it out and had it reprogrammed. Also had a new key cut for it, so it was not a flat battery in the key. After the immobiliser was put back in the car started and did so for about 24hrs. Now it is doing the same again. All dash lights, head lights etc work but no start. When the key is turn on you can hear the fuel pump working. Had also heard that the starter relay could be an issue but not sure where it is located. There is 4 relays next to the engine ECM in the fuse box which I have swapped around but no change. Can anyone shed some light on what I have missed please? Thanks for you help.
