And the added bonus of two less seams to dispose of when de seaming.
It would look good though and if you bought those W&P parts separately you would spend that or more. Sell off the shell and Reg, engine and box, and nudge bars to get some cash back keep all the good stuff they are not making them anymore afaik.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

The car looks like it has ac with the front mounted condensor and alternator mounted higher. Definately needs a shell and best shell to put it in would be a Clubman estate, not sure W&P ever made one and better looking and more versatile than a Clubman saloon imo.

Possibly a bit steep on the asking price, I'd probably expect it to be relisted a few times at ever lower prices before selling, but it will indeed sell eventually.  Nothing is technically impossible to save, but I'd be suspecting that this is a reshell candidate.

My fear is that it will be split and sold on for extra profit - these cars are rare and there are many unscrupulous people about.

My answer is NO, not worthy to restore ! First, it's a clubman, i mean who likes a clubman? Nobody, it's front end looks boring and unatttractive., second, its starting bid is £3500, really???, third, its full of rust, you'll probably spend $20K to restore it. 4th, its a 1978 clubman, its not even rare., but based on the amount of rust it has, it looks like the car is from 1800's.

it being a clubman just sux!! I dont like clubman., looks old, it's not cute.

But to each his own.... That's just my opinion.

...I just stumbled upon this on the internet
//www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1978-MINI-WOOD-PICKETT-CLUBMAN-AUTO-GREEN-PROJECT-/122087016345?hash=item1c6cf40799:g:4w0AAOSwawpXsi0A

Is it really worth it to restore ot? I know they are rare, but this one seems to be in a very bad state,
cheers,
Abel
