Well, for those of you who followed our progress over last weekend I say thank you.  For those that didn't follow the YouTube and Goodwood live feeds, you missed out on a marvellous weekend of racing.

Gertie more than held her own, qualifying fourth on her debut in the hands of Nicolas Minassian, and while he was forced off the track at the beginning of the race in torrential rain, she was fastest through the speedtrap at the start/finish line before retiring with a clogged fuel filter.

Sunday was better, with Jason Stanley starting seventh (having qualified with a broken clutch) and finishing fifth, keeping the drivers ahead honest and leaving the rest in his wake.

thanks Alex, The bearings on those traficators always go out, so we use the earlier and harder-to-find Egnastatic Capitulators on our race cars.... the leather bush lasts longer. I think there is a guy in our LA club that had one of those A3o-somethings imported awhile back. Unusual car for our side of the pond.

The red one is an A35, my blue one is an A30.

I think I'm the only racing car in field with working semaphore trafficators !

The originator of the A-Series engine, with a massive 803cc as standard in the A30, upgraded to 948 in the A35.  The chassis and suspension is the same as a Frogeye Sprite and MG Midget - I'm actually running 1500cc rubber-bumper Midget brakes and handbrake mechanism.

Austin A35 same mechanical layout as a Spridget.

The majority of us on this site probably don't have a clue what kind of car that is, including myself, but I am not afraid to look dumb by asking.? Looks like an old British taxi.

Testing again last Wednesday in preparation for the Revival next week.

We were 4 seconds a lap faster than "The Red Baron" (they're all named) while scrubbing in new tyres.

They packed up and went home before lunch...

As those of you who are chums on FaceBook will have seen, my Mini activities have been somewhat curtailed this year due to the Special Project.

Testing went well last week, with more this coming week.
Qualifying and the races will be streamed live on the Goodwood website, I will post details when I get them.
