No no no sir mal, i honestly dont know what GB means,, all the while i thought it was a mini parts dealer.   And also you are dealing with an Asian boy, i know nothing about Westerners. Growing up in asia is hard, i didnt get to read books till i was in 6th grade, no money to buy books, i dont wanna tell the story,i dont wanna cry again.  ... aanyway, sir A, just logged in, i saw his profile pic online now, let's here it from true blue  Great Britain-er.

Yeah, maybe, but then again we all know he is resistant to actually reading much and prefers pictures and videos.

Tony's last post sort of proves the point!

Tony: "GB" is short for "Great Britain" .... part of the "U" = "the United kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland".

What started out as a nice post turned into something unnecessary. My mini no longer leaks oil. Took four tries, but finally sealed the torque converter. Drain cocks in radiators are nice, but not necessary. 60 years ago, before antifreeze we had to drain the radiators and block every night. Then it was necessary. Now a good coolant is for 6 years.
The GB comment is silly. Years ago in Europe every car (or most, I don't remember if it was law) had an oval sticker on the back that indicated which country it was registered in. GB-Great Britain, F-France, E-Spain, etc.

And there are millions of accents. I've lived or traveled the 50 US states and people in Boston speak differently than Texas, Texans differently than Kansas, Mississippi different from most of the rest too. In the 26 years I've lived outside of the US, and the 36 years I've worked outside the US, I can tell you that there are infinite accents, skin colors, body shapes, etc. If anyone is jealous of another, that's a personal problem. It helps to recognize and appreciate the abilities attributes of all. People in Sao Paulo speak very differently than those in Rio, Argentina different from Bolivia (even in Bolivia there are at least 3 distinct accents), Venezuela very different from all but Cuba, Mexicans sing everything. It's actually pretty nice to have the variety.

One thing we all have in common (on this site) is the Mini. Although all are different in some way or another. Why don't we just get on with it?

hahaha, true sir dan..

and Cliff's country says GB, i always see GB in some of the classic minis in youtube, it's some kind of a sticker in the back of the minis, is that a country ? or some kind of classic mini parts dealer logo? and it always goes with a Union Jack, i'm not trying to be idiot but with all honesty i dunno what GB meant. i know union jack logo is from London, or UK or Europe. and Uncle Sam logo(where an old man with a tall hat pointing at you) is from the U.S. right?

Let's go over this again Tony for the benefit of newbies or people being misinformed by you. MK I Mini's had radiator and block drain plugs. All Mini's don't leak oil. More of any kind of an oil leak is not a good thing.

Im a HUGE fan of classic minis, a real fanatic but i have not reached to the point  where in, for example, i live in meza arizona and will attend a mini gathering in Columbus Ohio, that's toooo far.... nope i haven't reached that point in my life yet.  I still have other impt things to do.
San Diego is fine, its driveable, i won't fly or drive that super far just to attend a gathering for a hobby.  It's just me.. To each his own tho.

We willingly worship a small god...sprung from the loins of Issigonis during the Suez Crisis...made up of leaky Lucas electrical wires, clicking universal joints, sliding windows, magic wand shifters, 10 inch wheels, rubber ball suspension...and the rust monster is always present. It is worth the pennance and indulgences paid to the creators in Longbridge....and eternal joy is the gift of love you get in return. Thus is the Gospel acording to chapter one, verse one...the King Haynes version. Meep meep sayeth the Choir. :)
