Parts maybe, but the USAF won't let me load a whole car on one of their planes.

Hugh is good people! Glad I got to meet him when he came out here to O'ahu a while back. Helped me crack the mystery of my Mini.

...now if he could only deliver to and from Hawaii...

No problem, glad to help. FWIW, picked up 11 boxes of pottery last night to be delivered on my way across the country. Yeah, it's not Mini but it pays. Just like the Shopsmith machine I am delivering to Ohio. Explorer is FULL! Trailer is full as well...seems a Moke is following me home. To be continued...

Thanks for the good words Big Al (and friends). Yeah, picked up the little wheel Moke in Niagara Falls, swapped trailers in Knoxville (opted for small trailer Eric had) then off to San Antonio. Michael was happy to get the Moke and all is well. In the meantime I get a call to pick up a Mini roller and enough parts to build it in Colorado. Easy peasey, but first my #1 son (greatest thing that ever happened to me) wanted me to stop off near Ft Worth and pick up a brand new top-end rotisserie that he can put his Mini shell on to paint. Ok, load huge crate and head north. As I got into Grand Junction the tired Explorer gives up the rear diff. Overnight stay and several $$$ later and I am loading Mini roller. Filled back of tired Explorer with rotisserie, Bill Cox's engine going to California, and enough parts to build the Mini, including a 1380. Whew, is this thing heavy. Off to Oregon to it's new owner. Along the way he called and asked if I can deliver a Mini he just sold. Sure, drop off roller and parts, then load Mini to be delivered to Vegas. Today I will finally retrieve my big trailer I left in N California in May. What that means is transferring the Mini to big trailer and loading Eric's little trailer on the bid trailer too, then off to Costa Mesa and Vegas. Whew, big trip and solo...i think I 'm ready for home. But wait, looks like a Mini owner in Ohio needs a Shopsmith moved east to Ohio. Sure what's another mile or two! Any other requests before I leave this coast?

You can trust Hugh. He will do what he says he will do. Every time. I wish his rig would haul Land Rovers.

Hugh will get the job done at a reasonable rate for sure.
I have had a couple of interesting encounters at the border crossing with Al and on my own, they are not the friendliest of folk sometimes.

Let us not forget that he also stepped into the breach at the 11th hour and saved MME 2011 - without Hugh there wouldn't have been a show that year.

Chuck him a few extra Dr Peppers and I'm sure he'd drag bits across the Atlantic too.

Just a shout out to someone who does a great job hauling minis across North America and does it like a pro-

Hugh Cannon or Dr Mini on the forum, running out of Knoxville TN picking up minis &/or mini parts and delivering them all over the USA-

As we all know, classic mini owners are cheap, always looking for a bargain and Hugh fills this void as no one else does

If you hire Hugh don't look for some guy pulling into your place driving a $200k unit with a 53 foot trailer, hydraulic lifts and shiny paint, what you see is what you get, a beater of a tow vehicle and a single used trailer that has seen better days- But he delivers, has a great track record, deals in cash only and never gives you a contract to sign-

Hughs' delivery time varies as does his route, taking him of the beaten trial as he crashes at AFBases all over the country-this helps keep his costs down below what we would consider rock bottom

I never ask or have asked Hugh for a quote, just pay him what he wants and off he goes, I just had him deliver a UK Moke for me from Niagara Falls NY to San Antonio TX, reasonable quote and delivered on time- Where he excells is on his runs to California and the PNW where it is tough to find shippers to go there-

An added bonus is that Hugh knows minis and is always a great help to a newbie buyer when he drops off a delivery- If you see him on the road, offer him 2-3 Dr Peppers and wish him well

Go Hugh Go

Big AL

PS- In saying all of the above, l speak with authority as l used to haul anything mini wise that wasn't tied down but old age and tougher and tougher cross border regulations have now forced me to sit on the sidelines and watch??
