Debbie was and is a pleasure to deal with. She was able to packaged and ship right away. Plus the exchange rate worked in my favor. Thank you Debbie.

Thanks for confirming your receipt of the big box of Minis I sent you.
Postage is very reasonable from Canada to the USA.
Also the exchange rate of 72 cents to a Canadian dollar makes it even a better deal.
NAFTA means that there should be no duties or taxes either.

Next box will going to Ohio!

There are still over 60 Minis up for grabs... Christmas is not too far away!

I just got my order from Debbie the other day. As she said, postage was surpisingly cheap. She was a pleasure to work with and I love my new additions to my mini collection. Now I just need to fine a place to put them all.Minis

I finally got around to taking and posting photos of the rest of the Minis on our club website.
I would like to thank those of you that purchased some for your collections.
As they are extremely light; postage is not expensive.
Although the majority sold so far have gone to local club members others have been sent to England, New York and Tennessee. The photos at the top with descriptions are available. Those nearer to the bottom have the names of the purchaser. I have left the photos as reference.
Thanks for looking
Debbie

Saw that post on the Subic Journal Facebook page. It was from The Bos Family, Mini people, in Holland.
They were looking for someone who might have any insight into the circumstances of Bob's death.
Bob had been at their home and was expected to return to their place on January 7th.
Paul Bos knew Bob since they were 10 years old and met in Cub Scouts.
Here is that Facebook post:
I am looking for any information about the sudden death of my friend Bob Polak (age 64) also known as "Boeby", Canadian citizen, born in the Netherlands. Bob passed away in the Arizona Hotel on December 19, 2015.
Thank you.

Don't know about Facebook. Bob was terminally ill with Cancer and he died at the Arizona International Resort in Olongapo Philippines.

So, that is where Arizona comes into play.
Bob was from Holland, he came to Canada at 24 years of age.He was in Holland visiting Mini friends two days before he passed away.
it would have been a lot simpler if  he died in Arizona!
Everything regarding the Mini collection is being  done by Debbie.

Thank you Keith or Debbie for taking time to post the scale equivalents.

I mentioned about the place of death of Bob Polak because there was a mention somewhere in FB that Bob Polak died in Arizona Hotel on Dec 19, 2015. and that he died a sudden death at the age of 64.  He was born in Netherlands..We don't know now which is which. Just wanting to clarify things, but nothing too serious.  anyway, thanks again Keith or Debbie

If you are interested in purchasing a mini then I could measure it.
For example 1:10 would be about 1 foot long as a Mini Sedan  is 10'6".
1:36 minis are 3" long.
1:72 are 1.5" The bigger the number the smaller the car.
The Smallest ones were 1:150 scale and are 3/4".
The smallest ones are all sold.

Bob was a member of Mainly Minis Montreal.
The mention of where and when he passed away are relevant as there was no funeral here.
He has been buried in Manila. Whether or not he was liked has nothing to do with this post.
Monies raised will be donated to Operation Smile.

WOW!! this this something...

and also, i dunno why that website needed to even mention the place where he died, to be honest, i don't see the relevance. i think the cause of death is even more relevant but was not mentioned.

RIP Bob

kd,
would you be kind enough to post the measurements of the toy cars for sale? just an approximate measurements will do. because most of us do not know how big or small a 1:10 scale or a 1:80 scale is.,  we'd appreciate if you can post measurements in inches if possible.  Thank You!

Too late. A lot of them are already sold. Prices vary between $1.99 and $400 per "toy". The Italian Job bus and three Minis which was gifted to  a specific member in the will is worth $400.  A similar one  is currently selling on E Bay for over $400. A collection is only worth money if someone else wants it.
I never even  put a price tag on my collection.I can tell you where I bought each of my Minis. My first one I got as a gift from Keith for my 18th birthday...I have 47 Herpa 1/72 scale models,  my mother bought me on trips to Germany.

Just curious, if someone REALLY wanted to jump-start their collection, what do you think would buy the whole lot - everything?

Is that the same Bob that raced a white mini Marcos ?

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Real, full size there are three an 850, a woody and an Innocenti; but they were willed to someone else.
We got the miniature  car collection . I did not count but I'd say around 250.
I have not finished photographing them  and posting them.

Following the death of Bob "Boeby" Polak Mainly Minis Montreal has inherited Bob's Miniature Mini collection.

If you are a "toy" collector then I encourage you to take a look and let me know if you would like any of the cars.
