Individual Vehicle Approval or Single Vehicle Approval cannot be done by a manufaturer on a kit, it has to be done by the builder once it's completed to check for safety.

Surprised you din't know that.

alex..  looked at the DLVA site for the IVA/SVA certificate, about the same as in NC for the chokes..  lots of lots of forms..  and you need paperbag to hold all the forms   here for approval( about 33 pages).  you would have  thought Anderson Cubs would have had a IVA cert?? or can you only get this after you assemble there?? later bc

US
Bill, you can see this is a very newly built vehicle, so right away you are going to hit the 25 year old rule for entry into USA. Andersen started building these again, after being forced out by BMWs refusal to sell them Powerplants, after their buyout from AE.
The early ones are still eligible for entry, but I wouldn't bet on this one being allowed in.. Incidentally, they were actually an improvement on the MOKE they copied. Galvanised Chassis, no rear Subframe, as the Radius arms mount directly onto the Heelboard. The Front also comes off, so a lot easier to work on. Jim

Ahhh....

Anyone buying this in the UK could be in for an expensive shock - it hasn't got an IVA/SVA certificate, and they are proving ever more difficult to obtain on Mini based kit cars.

I'd imagine it could also prove "interesting" for an unsuspecting buyer in the USA.
