The steering setup is not that strange, the 2001-05 Honda Civics here in the US use that same type of steering. the rack is mounted high in the engine compartment to save space, and the outer tie rod ends attach to an arm which is part of the strut.

Cheers

Minsuki.

Tony is an "attention whore" and should be ignored. Many have tried to help him, and he continues to promise he'll change, but alas, all he really wants is a response to his nonsense. To all the good guys here that have repeatedly tried to help him, I fear that all you have done is become enablers to this twit.

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

Uhm, really??? What do you call this?? Coffee or tea??? Toldya, i always support my claim with evidence. They are trying to hide the coffee brand nescafe because its a cheap kind of coffee.. Lol No wonder, project binky reach up to episode 14 and still not done!!

In the court of law, this picture is considered exhibit #1. Evidence is overwhelming!

Now enough of this coffee or tea arguement, lets just discuss the loopholes on this project binky mini. I still do not know why they decide to connect the steering tie rod to the shock absorber.. Seem odd! The shock absorber is meant to go up and down NOT rotate. Jizz!!

And another thing, someone here always say that he had a coffee/ tea with the boys( i supposed he meant the two project binky casts) and he always say that he's rubbing elbows with this guys, but can you post pics of you together with these guys?? Just for the record.

Safeway hasn't existed for years and years.

Morrisons took them over in 2004 and the brand disappeared in 2005.

Nik and Richard do a great job explaining why they are doing everything.  I just enjoy the craftsmanship and revel in envisioning the final product hopefully like they can.

I drink PG tips if I'm out of Yorkshire...
PG is to tea, what a bottle of Bud is to beer. Sure, it's a beer, it's wet and fizzy, but it's still a Budweiser...
im just glad you didn't say typhoo, which is the coors lite of teas. Real nats piss that one is. You need two of them fairy's to make s cup worth drinking.

Yorshire Tea, now that's a brew.

Now Lancashire tea; that bugger will put hairs on your chest, knees,  toes, tongue, pretty much anywhere. That stuff is for special occasions.

Hey genius. Go ahead and Google McPherson strut.

Then go google how to make and serve a proper cup of English tea. Yorkshire tea is the best tea and when properly made, looks just like that picture.

Idiot.

Once again the resident ignoramus shows his colours.

Having drunk tea with the boys - they gave me the mug in the photo - I can assure you that they are not drinking coffee.

Milk in tea is perfectly normal, and rather civilised.  Doesn't work with iced tea, but in a proper hot cup of char it works a treat.

i will give my fearless review after i watched it.

edited: So i've watched it..

very nice and informative tutorial, although they spent about 16minutes just on wheel arches alone.

i just noticed that the steering tie rod is connected to the front shock absorber, it means that whenever you steer , the shock absorber will steer as well? really?. gosh! first time i see that kind of steering design.(what happened to the upper balljoint????)

And also , from episode 1 to episode 14, these two british "accented" mechanics kept on saying that they are enjoying their cup of tea, but then low and behold, they are actually drinking coffee , NOT tea..(see pic) unless they put milk on their tea(yuck),and besides, who loves to drink tea?? i don't like it, it's bitter!!!.. one person here also told me, and actually correct me when i said it was coffee, well !!! i proved you wrong sirrrr!!!!

But over all , the mini looked good after putting that modified yellow arches. Can't wait to see that beast on the road......actually running
