Yeah, I seem to recall that episode. Great show. Loved MTM's tight sweaters.

Mrs. Miniver, as she's tenacious, not to mention stubborn sometimes.

(I still think Greer Garson was quite fetching...)

LUMPY!  Named by our Club President (MOASF) the first time he saw it since there was not a straight body panel on the entire mini.  Looks a bit different today after the rebuild but the name stuck.

For several years, I had both a MINI and a Mini, so, to lessen the confusion, the classic became Tiny ...

Rosebud reminds me of the episode on the D*** Van Dyke show where Richie learned his middle name was Rosebud. It turned out the family had way too many hard-headed people involved in the naming process, so the first letters of all the names added up to Rosebud ... Robert Oscar Sam Edward Benjamin Ulysses David

And yes, I have trouble remembering details from two weeks ago, but this, from 50 years ago comes right up ... lol

You're right. I was remembering it the other way around. Kreacher promptly threw a grumpy fit and chewed up some clutch parts. Damper springs are super crunchy.

Other way round - I named him

We were going through all the names in my Elf fleet, and decided that Kreacher was apt due to the Honda lump.

Kreacher. He named himself at Mini 50 with Dooder on board. Alex knows the story.

I am afraid I wasn't very original.  I see a lot of the Brits (especially) twisting the name of their license plates into cars' names.
Like maybe a car's plate says LO0U 1SE and they call it Louise.......you get the idea.

Well, mine was an import from Wales in 2005 with an awful plate #.... E355 PAH !

I wanted to follow that British tradition, but I certainly didn't want to call the car Espah or Eggspah, so we spelled it backwards , which was very very loosely "HAP EEE", so we called the car "HAPPY" which is also what we are when we drive it.

This was the first year since 2005 it never went out onto the road. Just a few spins around the yard, so it's decidedly SAD I must say.

Mike, ham radio callsign "VE9AA", cars callsign "HAPPY"

Timo, I am in the bay area. All three are daily drivers(when running), but with two of us, one stays in the garage. The woodie takes a break on rainy days.

Mc Tavish...Mini Tartan Limited Edition...for obvious reasons of Scottish heritage.

Of course yours is named Ricky—what else could it be? Those are gorgeous! Are your daily drivers named Fred & Ethel?

Blue box/Don

I remember that 1098cc engine, Zip brought it up to my house from Ohio and then we took it to Don Soberings shop at his home in downtown Hamilton for Don to assess

Zip figured there wasn't much value in the lump so he just left it with Don & now we know where it ended up

Mines bodge, comes from the race cars we had in the 70'S we were always bodging them up to keep it going! So the race cars stopped at Bodge VI so I guess the 60 is technically Bodge VII

I named my Mini 1000 "Sophie"... don't really have story to go with it but it's pretty funny when my girlfriend tells people that I spend too much time "playing with Sophie" lol
