Well, I've tried cut and paste, I've tried "dragging", I've tried manually typing in, nothing works. I have no problem posting pictures on other forums.
I guess I'm just not smart enough!

I know vr000's question was about the correct factory location for the brake booster in his MKII, but I thought I'd share where I ended up putting my booster. I put it up under the right wing. Plenty of room and minimal plumbing involved. For those who's engine bay is getting a little crowded it might be an option.

There's no secret, just look at the top left when you are posting.

I have a Mk III 'S' and the servo should be a Lockheed 6. I won't be home til Tues. otherwise I could send you a photo for comparison. I believe that the later ones should have the vacuum port positioned downward at about 5:00 o'clock. Somebody with a Cooper description specific book will be able to advise you with info. Randy

The more I look for answers, I'm beginning to suspect that my servo might be a MK3. I've mounted the servo with the vacuum port at 12 o'clock and the rear bracket  bend going forward. The brake lines installed with very little trouble, and no need to rebend them. The only front bracket that I have, that comes close to fitting, has the loop about an inch in font of the nose casting. Is the MK3 nose shorter than the MK1 & II?
That could explain my problem.
Thanks!

When facing the engine bay, the booster is on the left hand side above the clutch housing. The air diaphram is back toward the firewall, the brake lines come from the side and the front and loop back. The air power comes from the intake manifold. The bracket on the front loops around the nose of the cylinder and bolts to the inner fender wall. The rear bolts to the diaphram housing and bolts to the inner fender.

I would like to reinstall the Brake booster in my 1967 MkII Cooper S. Not to solve any braking problem, but just to make the car appear more original. I am in possession of two boosters, two sets of mounting brackets and what seems to be the original brake lines. In researching pictures of booster installations, they all seem to be different. Is the correct installation with the vacuum port at 12 o'clock? That seems to be a popular clocking. none of my mounting brackets will do this without modification, but it looks like the brake lines like that orientation.
Also where should the booster be front to rear?
Thanks for help for the Mini brain trust!!
