No kids John!  Maybe get another dog. Bigger garage for more elbow room working now on a new project.

Wow - didn't see this coming, first a wife, then a house - any kids on the way???  Congratulations, Dennis, hope it all works out well for you.

Fuel gauge in the post this morning Dennis, do you still need it if the car is sold? If not just send it back and I'll refund you for it?

Sorry to hear you're not happy with it. I'm afraid it comes with the package deal. I wasn't gonna going to remove anything. I can ask though.

shouldve told me a long time ago. It's been over a year already bud. I drilled a hole for a horn on the center cap.

Armycook, you think you might be interested in re-trading steering wheels?  I'm not as fond of that smaller leather covered wheel we traded as I thought I would be.

Hey Rod,

We just had a few hiccups here on my end but the car has a prospective buyer already and from the what I heard already put a deposit down. I'm so happy someone's appreciative and going to continue my work on that car. So I can't wait to move forward. As soon as everything is finalized, I will look for a new mini project asap. Always been interested in other variant like a truck or even a vtec mini. Gotta be rust free and at least have a 1275 or a Honda engine. Coming from a nice mk1 Cooper will be tough though.

gonna be alright

It's been awhile. I never thought I'd login again because the "unnamed" ruined it all for me but this made me wanna talk in the forums again. Me and my husband followed the progress of Dennis' mini on instagram and were sad you're  letting it go. I hope You keep her. That car has your heart and soul. If it's about about clearance issues with civil service job maybe my husband can help.

Signed up exclusively with someone that specializes this to handle the selling for me. Thought it would be best to get a much bigger market for a niche car style.

That's the kind of car that should be auctioned on Bring a Trailer.

Oh MAN that's a BEAUTIFUL car! Hate to see you sell it - but I'd sure love to have that car in my garage. Good luck with the sale.

I've been thinking about this a lot. I started with $900 and bought an old toyota truck, fixed and flipped then 5 cars later I have my first Cooper. Not my first time selling a nice project but this one is a favorite for sure. But this new job required so much strict guidelines and credit requirements that I decided to sell and use some to take care of that at the same time build the credit score to finally purchase our first home but Ill leave a chunk to get another mini for sure. Maybe a truck or a van.. or even a mini with a Honda engine running project. So yeah it's gonna go to a very good cause.

we will see I find I can have a few good buyers at my current asking. So far there's been good feedback. Would be great if it sells at that price.

I bought my first mini Labor Day weekend of 1968, traded it and $300. for my first Cooper S. In 1970 I bought another 850 project and sold my Cooper S in order to make a down payment on my first house. I hated what I had to do but it was the right thing at the right time. As luck would have it I was able to buy my Cooper S back. By that time I had several minis and sent the S shell out for rust repair. Some how the shell was stolen form the body shop. Required my buying another shell to mount all the S parts. My current plan is to complete several projects over the next 5 years and sell them to off set Alex's education. In spite of our love of the little cars we have to do the right thing now and then. I understand. Steve (CTR)
